Added another 1920 Babe Ruth Headin' Home card to the collection so felt it might not be a bad thing to show a thread with the 3 different cataloged varieties. The first ones are very small at about 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" and the rest are a bit bigger than your typical candy cards. These are often faked/reprinted too. There is really no set order I am aware of as they were never cataloged by Burdick.

1st Series- Babe Ruth Headin' Home- small and generally had blank backs though stamps have been seen on some (as here).

2nd Series - Babe Ruth Headin' Home Theater Cards- larger at approx 1 3/4" x 3 3/4", *real photo card, have theaters printed or stamped on backs

3rd Series- Babe Ruth Headin' Home Tex Rickard Cards- larger at approx 1 3/4" x 3 3/4", *real photo card, have a Tex Rickard stamp on backs

And finally a newspaper ad from the date the movie started, Sept.19, 1920.....enjoy...and happy collecting...

Wow those are really neat, Leon! Thanks for sharing :)

How were those distributed? Were they given out at the Theatre?

The top small ones were issued as strip cards and not sure where. I believe, but am not positive, the real photo type ones were in fact given at the Theaters.

After a little more thought, and comparing the strips with others, they were probably given out to the Theaters also, then each Theater could hand them out and stamp the back with their ad...makes sense.
