Question for the 90's guys. My friend has a wooden boxed UD limited edition set from 92 or 93, any value or any cards in particular to look for? Thanks, guys.

The Piazza is kinda different because his foot "hangs" off the side of the card.

1998 Leaf Fractal Materials Wood Die Cut /200
This is one of those weird ones where the non-Die Cut (print run 50) is actually rarer than the Die Cut (print run 200). It's because Larry Walker is an X-Axis Wood.

What the hell happened there? Why did no one bid - it's a pretty nice card!

I was unsure if it was a refractor or not, the image concerned me. The last few sold $3-5 w/o shipping; not like it was a steal but I can now cross it from the watchlist.

Yeah, it was nice to get a deal for once! Haven't been too many of them since he made the HOF.

Ah that's interesting. I've lost hope Belle will ever get the call but I always wondered what would happen to his cards/prices if he ever did make the HOF. They are still pretty hot cards, so I'm sure it would make me

love the description.. place filler in your collection until another one pops up?

I actually just noticed this as well... this could be why it was such a steal. It really looks beat up from the picture and maybe even more once ou have it in hand. O well... if you need it, you need it... I have some Belle's I'm not happy with but they are copies I've only seen once.

I'm right there with you on that.. not every card can be perfect and I would buy a card like this to use as a placeholder until I found another copy. Hell I've upgraded cards in good shape for ones I find that are even a bit better. at least the seller was trying to be honest that it wasn't mint.

Yeah - That is the way I looked at it. I talked to the seller the before I bought it and asked him about the card. He said it doesn't have any creases or anything, just some bad chipping along the bottom edge. These are hard to find, so I was happy to get it in any condition. If I find a better one in the future I will go after it, but I am happy to mark it off my list for now.
