Watched the whole game on MLB.TV free courtesy of liking Dunkin' Donuts on Facebook. Was going crazy the whole time. When he got that 12th K, all I could think of was that No-Hitter on 07/12/07 against the Brewers. Would've loved to see #3 tonight.

...unless it's a late inning bunt then it's just douchy.....Kenny Lofton

If a team is getting no hit they will try anything to get on base, can you blame them? Not really douchy IMO....maybe a tad desperate but if nothing else is working then it's worth a try.

a hit is a hit....

Right, but you're missing the point that even the hit wasn't hit hard. Sometimes you'll see guys with late-inning no-hit bids make a mistake pitch and have it drilled for a hard line drive hit...this was just a pitch the guy barely got his bat on. Not saying it's not a hit, but rather, that it's just a testament to how good JV was tonight.

It was a good pitch by Verlander. No doubt about it. A nice curve ball a little down and away. But Harrison, who looked silly on his other swings, reaches for it and gets it. It's a shame for Verlander only for the fact that he didn't make a mistake pitch to lose it, but hey that's baseball.....BUT STILL, I WANTED TO SEE THAT 3RD NO HITTER DANGINT!!!!!

Now of course I'm a Tigers fan and I'm partial, but I think Verlander is really something special and he has a legitimate shot imo to throw 2 or 3 more before his career is over. Man, THE GUY startS off at 91, 92, 93 and then towards the end of the game and after 100 pitches the guy gears it up to high nineties and 3 digits. No one else does that!

So regardless of not getting the No No, the guy is one Hell of a pitcher and arguably the best in baseball right now. And at 29 He has a lot of great years ahead too.

Way to go Justin!!!
