Cmon Bri, the only thing to follow a "I'm going to kick topps ass" threat is a free giveaway.

Thanks

IF the insert ratios are blatantly fraudulent, BCA and everyone else has a right to ask questions.

I bought a redemption card (for a card for my PC) off the market for which I have just been made aware BLATANT INTENTIONAL fraud (far worse than this) may have occurred.

IF they do not redeem my card, there WILL be a lawsuit (for an issue in which I believe many others will follow suit)...

This one will be a story for which grabbing a bucket of popcorn may not suffice..,,

Not sure if you've been following this from the beginning, or just stopped in at the end to plug the latest Leaf v. Topps battle, but there are no stated insertion ratios for these packs. The odds mentioned here were calculated based on the number of available packs and the print runs of the Reds and Autos.

I haven't taken the time to read all nine pages of comments, but from what I did read I have to side with the OP here.

It is complete ******** that they sent the cards in this manner. Seriously what is keeping Topps employees that stick packs into bubble envelopes from slipping a few packs from the AUTO box in their pockets?

For people that say this is a free promotion, its clearly not. Either you had to buy cases of cards or buy tons of packs to receive that many blue wave packs. It's a promotion yes, but not a free one.

For the people that say "quit complaining, at least you got packs. I submitted my packs and received none", these people probably didn't send them in same day as opening or opened the product after release date and are just sour that they were left out.

It is complete BS that Topps would clearly send a customer a box with the label poorly peeled off saying no auto. Something needs to be done about the quality control of all companies (Topps, Panini) but that will never happen unless the collecting community (us) makes known of the shady practices sometimes that occur.

If the OP opened enough product to send in the amount of wrappers he did then the math would break down as follows:

(Assuming all are Jumbo Boxes)

7 packs of jumbo per blue wave pack

7 * 109 = 763 packs of Jumbo

763 packs/ 12 packs per box = Roughly 64 boxes of jumbo

64 boxes * $125 per box (assuming OP got in on these cases early before price jump) = $8000

So to all you naysayers out there, you're saying spending $8000 on someone's product and then they have the audacity to basically slap you in face by sending over half of your packs in a box saying non auto with the label poorly taken off like they wanted to rub it in is ok? I think not and something needs to be done here. I would be on the phone with Topps but that's just my opinion

The fact that there is 10 pages on this is just pathetic. People need to stop crying and move on to something else.

This is very funny.

Also, BCA (and perhaps all of the larger breakers) got screwed over and all of the A_Phallus's of the world can talk in circles all they want. Odds weren't stated so get off that wagon. Packs were not managed properly. End story. He got screwed.

It's threads like these that make me glad I got out of prospect cards and got focused on Topps cards from the 70s and 80s. I don't even know what a Blue Wave card is. If someone would take a minute and explain the process and what these cards were, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

How in the blue hell did you avoid being named in the Topps v Panini suit regarding Chromium? Is this one of the conditions of your settlement with Topps regarding the Rookie Retro? :)
