How awesome would that be? Besides the fact that he is a Met. What a great story that would be.

Matt Cain > than Dickey, Strasburg, Lynn, Gio, Kershaw, Hamels, Greinke, etc.
Cain..... tonight 14 Ks, 0 BB, 0 HITS through 8 Innings, ....will shrink than MLB leading WHIP even more.
Knuckle ball pitchers are historically Streaky and often have entire Months of being "off", ruining their season's stats...
Don't forget the Hamels and Lance Lynn .... the mets are going to fade out.
I was going to say the same thing, not even in top 10 in ERAI don't think Hamels is even in the discussion at this point.

Valid point, but I do think Dickey is completely a different knuckerballer than we've ever seen. I mean he throws it over 80 MPH and his fastball is in the mid to high 80's.
I think that would be great and if he can repeat throughout the rest of the season what he has done so far, he will be in the discussion for CY.
Yes Frank, but you can't give a pitcher the Cy Young for one night of work. We'll see if the Giants can give Cain enough run support this year to be a contender for the award.
True, but Cain leads the MLB with a 0.85 WHIP and at the end of the year a PERFECT GAME will give Cain a huge edge in the voting.
