Hey Guys

Just a heads up to let you guys know a few things about what is going on at the card shop. Most of you probably won't care much about this, but it needs to be addressed as you will hear it from someone besides me if I don't.

I struggle to focus on sports cards at the shop. It has gotten to be really difficult to provide the level of inventory at the store as far as singles go that will set me apart from other offerings both in Atlanta and in the country. I want to offer a world class sports card shop, and I haven't done that. In order to get the inventory levels to where they need to be, I have decided to sub lease some display cases to local Atlanta dealer Evan Feuerstein. Yes, the same guy as ebay handle cardboardpimping. I know what many of you will say about him being implicated in forgery of autographs and patches and I have considered that information, and decided to proceed with this deal. I have personally seen his inventory almost every month for about two years, and I have reached a reasonable conclusion that the questionable items that he has come in contact with and were in his ebay store in the past were not his own doing. I also know personally the lengths he has gone through to make good if a forgery makes it through his hands even before the customer complains about it. At the Atlanta shows he provides great customer service and great deals on singles to nearly everyone who stops in. He also is the largest buyer in the area. This deal will help keep inventory fresh, and be a great thing for the store going forward.

Thanks for reading! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them here.

I see nothing but good things coming from this, Chris.

Thanks, Evan CardBoardPimping

Hopefully this doesn't backfire on you and tarnish your good reputation Chris. Someone who is branded as a con artist/forger is generally someone I would notlike to get into business with, but best of luck to you. I hope you really feel like this was the best decision and nothing bad comes from it. Hopefully I will get to get to Georgia one day and check out the shop!

It might backfire, but its the best decision for the customers that walk in the door

Not if those customers find out who is in business with you. Most customers probably don't know who cardboardpimping (Evan) is, but I would personally look for another LCS. I wouldn't want to touch his displays. But if you say he seems to be clean and done with his forging days then hopefully he really is. Best of luck to you and your store and hopefully a boom in business is in your future :)

The vast majority of atl card buyers already buy from him.

And im reasonably certain he never forged anything.

I can't wait to read about it on the other site lol .

I personally would never conduct business with someone that has the track record he has, but if you need the singles in the store you gotta do what you gotta do to get the traffic through the door (my drunk rhyme for the night right there lol)

His track record on line does not match up with his track record as a show dealer.

Evan is a good guy and Chris is right that he is the biggest buyer in the area. Buys from me all the time.

Wasn't Kevin Burge "cardboardpimping" or have I been wrong thinking that all along?

Not trying to start a problem, just want to clarify.

This just shows how many misconceptions there are out there.

Then that's my bad. I Googled Burge, and shoelessjoejackson must have been the ID I was thinking of. I have no clue how I confused the two.

If the question is, has cardboardpimping sold fakes, the answer is absolutely.

The bigger question is, assuming the inventory in store is clean does it directly matter to me? The answer is no. I can't help what has happened on ebay, but I can help what goes on in what remains MY store. If there is something fake, I will see it and I will do something about it.

This isn't a partnership situation, it's me leasing out space. Something every card shop in America either does or has considered doing.

Every market has it's own needs and expectations. To succeed you have to adapt.

If nothing else, Chris is coming here being upfront about something, something he doesn't have to be upfront about. It's his store, it's his decision.

There are so many tremendous misconceptions about specifics of this hobby, about running a shop, etc. and at the end of the day...it's only the owner's decision. There are a lot of high and mighty people here throwing opinions about cardboardpimpin...yet have no issues buying Upper Deck cards?
