I have no idea whether they are real or not but I do remember a thread on here of a fake that looked REALLY close to the original. There are experts on these boards about these cards so I'm sure you'll find an answer soon enough.

I have a couple copies of Robby Thompson's Aqueous card and the card he has listed looks legit.

He's got several listed that neither SCD, nor Beckett had in their admittedly incomplete checklists for the set (at least as of the 2010 Standard Catalog and the current Beckett OPG). The following cards hadn't previously been documented:

11 Kevin Mitchell DK
58 Carlton Fisk
59 Kirt Manwaring
62 Doyle Alexander
67 Walt Weiss
69 Jim Clancy
73 Joel Skinner
75 Tommy Herr
76 Ricky Jordan
82 Milt Thompson
88 Dave Smith
92 Doug Drabek
101 Melido Perez
104 Geronimo Berroa
106 Bryn Smith
116 Greg Minton
121 John Smoltz
123 Eric Yelding
131 Ernest Riles
135 Ozzie Guillen
136 Chili Davis
137 Mitch Webster
142 Julio Franco
143 Brian Holman
152 Kevin Elster
153 Gerald Perry
159 Andy Hawkins
161 Jose Oquendo
163 Joe Magrane

I'll update this list as more are posted. Hopefully these are all legitimate, it might help drive the prices down a little. Thankfully the only guys I need from this set are commons.

These cards look like they are hand trimmed to some extent - I randomly opened about 10 and noticed something on all of them:

Back side above printed name:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-DONRUS...S_Baseball&hash=item53edcd0026#ht_3283wt_1402

Both sides:

Visibly crooked front and back:

Front top and bottom of card:

I've had the Kirt Manwaring for about 4 or 5 years now.

Bobsbbcards has all of those in his PSA registry set:

Okay, so I collected cards back then (although I quit from 1994-2006) and I never heard of these cards before I started posting here a couple of years ago.

What the story with these things and what's the difference other than the text printed on the back?

Everything is the same except the printed text and I believe they all are missing the dot after Leaf, Inc on backside, top right... (bottom left on my scans!)

One of your Tony Gwynn's is a FAKE!!- The word "AQUEOUS TEST" is not stamped on the card it is a part of the entire printed back - You can see your "AQUEOUS TEST" printing is different from card 1 to card 2.

Like on the 2nd card the "T" at the end of TEST is pretty pretty touching the * on Denotes - The first card the * has plenty of space around it - Same thing how you can see the white through the "A" on card 1.

*Card #2 is fake - I'm 99% sure < Disregard that -

These are the backs of 4 different Canseco Aqueous card I have seen over the years - *See how the "AQUEOUS TEST" printing is identically placed on all 4 card backs - Identically placed to your 1st card pictured above.

If you'll notice on his Gwynn's, it's 2 different card #'s... so that's the printing is in a slightly different spot.
