With Dunn on base? LOLI find it laughable that you think getting on base 37% of time is not something to look at. So you are saying if he didn't walk a lot and hit .333 for his career and had an OBP of .370....THEN he would be a HOF?
What does it matter how you get on base via the walk or the hit? you are giving your team a better chance to score a run.
Probably because as players age, their overall production declines.
It happens.

A hit is always better than a walk. And Dunn doesn't get many hits. Walking does NOT make up for how many times he strikes out (which is the worst thing a batter can do)

Jeter would be the exception, not the rule
Dunn averages about 5 strikeouts for every HR he hits. If he hits 600 HRs he will have at least 3,000 strikeouts. Does that scream HOF to you? For a pitcher maybe.....LOL!1. You are assuming he will finish this year with 31 HR? You don't think he'll hit 40 HR this year?
2. Look at my stats above, even with his 11 Hr season last year, he AVERAGED 36+ HR a year...what makes you so sure he can't get 200 HR in 6-7 years? Why does it have to be 5 years? Has he said he's going to retire at 37 or something?

Is this a serious question????So you are saying a single is better than a walk?
Because Reggie Jackson is one of the best postseason players of all time, with 4 WS rings and and MVP. Can Adam Dunn say the same?Sure why not? 563 HR and 2600 K's got someone into the HOF....why can't 600 HR and 3000 K? Especially when very few have hit 600 HR.
Is this a serious question????
Yes, duh!
For example, man on 3rd....single>>>RBI! Walk? Not so much. The only time a walk scores a run is if the bases are loaded but a single with the bases loaded has a chance to knock in 3 runs.
I can't believe you think that a single = a walk!
