No you didn't. You said, your exact words:

"(1) THERE IS NO METAL PETE ROSE. I KNOW YOU WERE BEING A JERK IN ASKING THIS QUESTION, BUT THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL ROSE PRODUCTS. He may appear on a Legends checklist at some point though."

If that is accurate, I should have been more specific. I was clearly addressing Jeff being an ass with his commentary about "get ready for Metal Rose"...

Again assuming the above is accurate, I do apologize for not clearly saying what I was trying to say..
I guess this is the downside to unfiltered interaction... The corporate response would have been silence..
Maybe I should just stick to the Topps model of silence so that there is no confusion??

I can assure you this will not hurt rose hobby.. Rose hobby is very popular and the reason for buying hobby is clearly not base autos... This is a low end product designed to provide what may be the greatest value ever put into a retail blaster box...

I stand corrected if the above was indeed what I typed at the time.. BG

Way to miss the point. Like many others, based on previous razor/leaf releases I won't be spending a dime on unopened product. How much longer until the 'collecting base' push leaf to the curb 'again'.

edit: read the post above mine and I see Brian Gray has stepped in again. Granted he's not trying to bet $200K to anyone for a lawsuit but he is trying to twist words....if only I knew how to multi-quote.

As a side note, I never imagined the remote chance a value product like this could ever be possible...
When faced with this extraordinary opportunity, how could I not bring the value to collectors?

If I didn't, I am certain someone else would have!

I will definitely not comment in future using the word "ever" or "forever" as that is a mighty long time..

If I could say it over, I would have said, "there will be no metal parallel rose set as Jeff insinuated" ..
"At this point, we have no plans for any additional rose sets.. But, if we have the chance to make an insane crazy value oriented item that benefits collectors worldwide, I reserve the right to change that."

Not to be a smart ass Brian but maybe this is why you might want to stick to corporate-speak on the boards and not get into extended "discussions" with the posters here. Everyone wants more information about what is coming out and certainly we want behind the scenes scoops but maybe too much information is not good. One wrong thought typed in a hurry can lead to assumptions or even promises that you didnt intend to make. We go back a long way and I hold no ill will toward you (your company really did right by me 10 years ago) but I cant help but cringe when I see you posting off the cuff. Like I said.....more information is great but sometimes it might be better to let your product speak for itself. Just my 2 cents.......I know it isnt worth much but it's all I have. LOL

Definitely respect your opinion... Your 2 cents is easily with 5 times that.. Lol...

I will try to stick to corporate speak....

My products do (and will) speak for themselves...

And from the same thread....

"Actually, all the prospects do have purple parallels and are inserted in this product.
One purple card per pack and packs are $225-250. I dont think there should me any massive dilution with /25 parallel.

I didn't buy your cards because Jeff used his lawyer bone to persuade me into my car, the shop, and the boxes. I bought the boxes because I wanted a rose piece for pc and because it was stated that nothing would be done to devalue the cards. Which is the exact opposite of what happened.

The price I paid at the shop was below the big online retailers. So I was happy and stashed the cards looking forward to them growing in value as the MLB climate changed to favor Pete. Which is what I think we all want..

Your retail set doesn't compete with the hobby set in lots of areas but it does have a direct correlation with the decrease on hobby wax and the drop in hobby singles. Anytime you unleash a massive amount of autos in the market it will fall as the model of supply and demand gets acclimated to the new quantity. Lets not compare hobby and retail markets. Im referring to the open market. You have also placed a form price on rose autos of 29.99.. Why would I looking for a pc piece pay 3x that? I wouldn't.

I am frumpy that my rose cards are dropping in price.. I'm more unhappy with the fact that you are telling me my feelings are invalid because a lawyer adjusted my level of expectation with some magical power.

I said no metal or parallel Rose sets.. In response to Jeff's wise ass comment making fun of razor bb metal vs. signature...

BG

I'm a "wise ass" and I'm "making fun" of his previous products . . . which screwed over a lot of people while he comes here and brags about how successful his company is.

Sit back and laugh, guys. You can't help but to.....

So you're doing this out of the goodness of your heart, to get Rose autos in the hands of collectors for $30 plus tax.

Despite the fact that there are dozens of certified (including Leaf brand) and PSA/DNA Rose autos selling for less than $30...

Home of the Greatest City in the World !
Wait till you guys see the next value oriented player release set!!
It will be crazy!!!
BG

Look for Ichiro in a Yankee jersey !!!!

only 49.99 @blaster with a sticker auto of Ichiro as a Yankee

but its retail only -- the thousands of autos won't hurt the previously issued auto cards

Seriously you are "Professor" Henry Hill from The Music Man...
& I will never be conned into buying anymore from whatever con company you are running this or next week

I pity anyone who buys his draft products after viewing the history. Nice summary, by the way.

I don't like that Leaf is releasing another Rose product, but your assessment of their Draft products is just way off. I didn't open much Metal, but Valiant has been one of the best money-making products that I've opened. I got in the green several months ago (now well over $1500 in the green) and still have about 2/5 of the cards remaining to sell.
