Splitting traffic is never a good idea.

Like others I tend to think that even though MiLB is certainly baseball, it is a different league than the MLB just like the NBA is a different league than the NFL or the MLB and thus deserving of its own board. Plus cards of MiLB players and cards of MLB players have different 'purpose' in the eyes of many people.

Technically only one or two people seem to post and bump a *ton* of prospect threads, I think this helps give the perception of the board as being prospect-heavy. Although we old-timers have gotten used to it, I have wondered often if this disrupts the flow of the forum for new people especially when it seems these one or two people are competing with other topics and threads. Perhaps the biggest prospect posters should have their own forum/channel/blog :)

"Shows I can't make I will try to send a volunteer with some booth space and promotional material."

You have a TON of members in the Twin Cities area. There is a show EVERY month at Valley West Mall in Bloomington that gets a ton of traffic partly due to there being autograph guest there every month, or virtually every month. If you are serious about this, I suggest you contact some members in the Twins thread, Im willing to bet there are a few trusted members in there that would help you out.

Here is the Twin Cities Sports Collectors Club website: http://www.tcscc.org , you can see all of the dates for the shows all the way out thru the end of 2013. Contact Dave Bonde at [email protected] if you want to see if tables are available.

I dont think I'm saying anything Chris hasnt said here before but he never built this site to be a transaction heavy board.

It was meant for discussion. I have never really agreed but I think Chris is now on board about pricing which i think is a big plus.
I do agree with you in that I like this board much better.

That may have never been the intention, but an active transaction area leads to an active board. I think it would help tremendously if our own members weren't having to leave this site to trade. Plus, if the other sports transactions areas were doing well, it would help attract members for those sports.

It would be a win-win if we could get the transactions section going.

Splitting traffic is no good. I already don't like that there is a separate vintage section. That being said, the amount of prospect threads are not as abundant as many of you are thinking. Seriously, go look.

To those of you that don't post because noone replies. Post anyway because someone will eventually and it's added content that may attract more users. The same with the transaction board.

For me, I can't say anything bad about the site.

The ongoing threads about prospects, hot lists, 90s inserts, promos, even those who first link bba's weekly hotlist, are great.

And now with the recent additions of the app (awesome) & leaf board, its gotten better.

Oh and the lack of box breaks here, I see our members posting box breaks on other sites but not here. When I ask them about it, it's because there are more people there buying. The only thing I would ask if you're doing this is to just copy your break and post it here too. It only takes an extra minute or two.

I'd visit more if there was an active trading area for set builders.

I really don't know what to do, but if the transactions section were beefed up, the board would grow. Grow the transactions board, grow the board in general. We need to figure out a way to do that.

Another thing I'd like to see is maybe a product review for every product shortly after release by fcb. Not sure if financially it's viable but why not break 1 box of every new product, show scans of the bigger pulls and give a detailed description talking about the design, any issues such as coalition, off centering, scratches, redemptions, etc noticed from the break and other breaks and a general recommendation. Then could always run contests afterwards to give away some of the pulls. I know other sites do something similar but not as detailed and I think it could generate alot of discussion. I think it would also be really cool if every once in awhile there was a retro box break done of a very popular and desirable old product like old tribute, threads, sterling with a similar write up. Again don't know what kind of budget you guys have but think it would fun.

I've started posting my needs to the set builders forum. I have TONS of needs and doubles. Hopefully with my increased participation, interest in trading will rise.

I read your post a few days ago, and I could probably help you with some needs. The problem is...all of the cards that are not in my personal collection are sorted by team, then by player. They are not sorted by product or card number. I see this a lot with set builders...they just list the product and card #s that they need.

I doubt I'm the only person who sorts "unwanted" cards in this manner. It would help folks like me to see if we have some of the cards you're looking for if you include the player's name along with the card number. Of course you can do things any way you like, but I wanted to know that here is one member's response you did NOT get to your set builder thread, and the reason why.

I expect for the people who are still left to like the new board. Afterall, you are still here right? It's the people who left that hate it.
