Before you make yourself out to be a double victim, purchase bad card and forum mob, read this thread again.......so many people giving you the benefit of the doubt and supporting you.

George.. I agree..
I thought it was clear.. My disappointment with this thread was the inflammatory title.. The questions are always fair and welcome, the title an it's inferences are disgusting.

And it can be edited by a mod. Take into consideration, though, that the thread was started by a guy who - most likely - came over here from Blowout just to "break the story".

Brian you basically just told us all that you sent the card to BGS. If that's true then you obviously thought it was legit. Why would you send a card you knew was altered to BGS, right? And if you sent it, you have proof. You wouldn't fake the BGS forms, because that would be putting yourself in a world of legal hurt with BGS. You're also implying that BGS gave you no indication that the auto was bogus, because you'd never resell the card if you knew it was, right?

SO PROVE IT!

Well played.

Thanks.
This is really my only beef with Leaf.
I found it absurd to take a sticker from one company and put it on another to call it an autographed buyback rookie card. At least have the player sign the card and get it authenticated. I mean I can always carefully peel off a Jeter sticker and put it on the Score Select RC and make a ton of money, but it doesn't make it a buyback auto.

Easy way out then Brian - Let's see the BGS forms & their reason for not giving the card a 9? Obviously you thought it would get the 9 if you (really) sent it to them....

You questioning it being sent to Beckett with your "really" junk is precisely what I'm talking about.

With that being said, when we submit we give Beckett 1000+ cards.. Any that don't min grade (and yes, there are more than I'd like) are reholdered and given to our eBay guys..

Our volume is too big to analyze every card that does not make minimum grade,. We just sell them..

Yes, this card was submitted. No, I don't think anyone reviews white slips (if they are even included on these bulk deals)...,

One thing I can tell you is that I will be looking at everything before it gets sold in future.. BG

I don't even fill out submission forms..
I hand them boxes with 1000-3000 cards..

I don't even have a detailed list of what I give them!

Yes, I bought this stupid card and it was submitted... I didnt catch signature issue (damn, no longer perfect) ...,It didn't make 9, so we sold it..my guys probably didn't read white slip to see why it didn't make..

Consider your question answered.

Boy are people on FCB really that stupid. Thinking BG would knowingly sell a fake.
Any little chance FCB pack of Leaf haters, who so bad want them to fail come out in all their glory. Pounce like a bunch of little school bullies.

Leaf is putting out 30 plus products this year. Doing hundreds of signings. Printing and packing cards out every day. So BG is supposed to oversee every little detail of every purchase. Put every card under the microscope. I know most FCB posters know everything about every card and auto. How to run a card company perfect ect. I'm still surprised all geniuses here aren't running their own card companies.

It is surprising that you don't have an invoice detailing the individual cards submitted and/or returned from BGS. I would always want documentation of the cards I submit to a grading house to protect myself from mistakes (sending the wrong card back or a card to a different submitter), theft (from a rogue employee or in the mail), or mailing probems (delivered to wrong address, stolen in mail, damaged in mail).

I'll consider my question answered when BGS confirms that you don't even fill out submission slips. Your "guys" confirm that they don't even read the reason a card submitted by your company didn't pass the grade. Is that how you run your company? "Guys, if BGS returns anything just dump it on Ebay. Don't worry about the reason." I don't buy that your entrusting BGS with thousands of your valuable cards without any record of what you gave them being recorded & submitted to them.

I get an email when the orders are done (and I think I can look them up online)..
Beckett is 1 mile from me... we hand deliver our orders and they hand deliver our orders when finished.
When we submit, we have a card count (and an inventory of $400+ cards)...

I get your point though.. I may be losing some $$$ not spending the time to itemize 1000's of cards.

Of course you can look them up online - let's see the card in question!

No defending yourself in the BO thread? Why not?

I think about 1 person on this board understands what it takes to buy thousands of cards, drop them off at BGS, and pack them out in a finished product. If he has a great working realtionship with BGS I doubt he does paperwork prior to subbing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that Leaf was based in the Dallas area (BGS area). Whether you like him or not, I think Brian works hard to deliver things that collectors want. He's the most scrutinized man in the hobby because he is also the most transparent. Like someone said earlier, why knowingly fake a bottom tier Harper and risk a reputation like that?

$1000 bet?
I can have Jeromy Murray or Joe Clemons send you an email with confirmation we give them no list.

You dont buy it? Make an easy $1000 then.
Dont be scared? its only money!
BG

p.s.- yes, ,my guys need to make sure they know why cards didnt meet grade (especially when it is an autograph issue like this)...

Always funny how this will get hundred replies.

But yet big scandals about card companies buying and using fake jerseys for game used cards, no one says boo. No one ever tries to make Topps, Panini ect show proof of where they got it and who authenticated all these gamers they have cut up of HOF's. When everybody knows finding legit gamers from older players is next to impossible. For every legit one, hundres of fakes. Altered, game issued, pro cut ect exist. That get passed off as gamers. Effecting thousands and thousands of cards in peoples collection. NO ONE EVER MAKES CARD COMPANIES SHOW DETAILS OF THESE JERSEYS.

Double or nothing BG - I'm looking for proof BGS ever had the card, will Jeromy or Joe confirm that? I'm betting you won't provide such proof...yes, please have them email me.

You guys clamoring for "proof" should realize that BGS does not "authenticate" certified autograph cards. Only JSA authenticates autographs. If that fake Harper auto was reviewed by BGS and there was no min grade, they would've just slabbed it with whatever grade it was and slapped a "10" auto grade on it. This has happened numerous times in the past with some fake auto cards (i.e. 1994 UD Alex Rodriguez Alumni autos).

I'm just looking for proof that BGS ever had the card, as BG claims they did. It's a serially numbered card, surely BGS knows if they had it.
