Not necessarily. You didn't have Jeter specifically as the NY SS. Whoever fills in can pick up points for you as well.

As for the WS contest, it's not looking too promising. Once the call to share in the funding of prizes falls on the player, interest tends to fall off. A classic case study in consumer behavior, really...playing for free is always better!

We'd need at least 9 entries to make a go of this (6 paid entries: 3 to 1st, 2 to 2nd, 1 to 3rd).

I will probably jump in the WS one. I was having trouble understanding it.

Nevermind, I get it. I will be jumping in. The $5 might be scaring a few, but some people are probably waiting to see who is in Series. Hopefully it doesn't get cancelled.

Was starting to think none of my players would ever get another hit (yeesh Curtis Granderson...)

Looks like the David Freese pick is paying early dividends...

Hoping Verlander has a big strikeout night tonight!

AROD and Swisher are not in the starting lineup. Must win game 3 for the Yankees.

Looks like the scores weren't updated from last nights game 10/16. Ichiro picked up 2 more hits and Verlander struck out 3.... That should bring me up to 159 points

Detroit LCS - SP strikeouts is at 15
Yankees LCS - RF hits is at 4

That's exactly what's showing in my update. Maybe you need to refresh your browser.

Most everyone has been eliminated, but there are a few (slim) scenarios where pootshwan could lose the top spot. I'll post those scenarios after tonight's STL/SF game.

While I don't expect to catch Pootshawn, I do like my chances for getting a money slot...GO Miggy !!!

Here are the most realistic World Series scenarios for anyone to overtake pootshwan for 1st place:

WaxPax needs 14 hits from his 3rd baseman

Mamunrud needs 32 strikeouts from his starting pitcing

Topnotchsy needs 15 hits from his 1st baseman...less if his 3rd baseman picks up any more LCS hits

Overall, Mamunrud has the best chance of catching pootshwan.
