I like the movie, and I like learning about the numbers that goes into building a winner, but I think I'd be a bridge between new school and old school if I was a GM. Some stats like UZR and WAR, I'm just not sold on. OBP, however, is a different story. I am probably still too much of a traditionalist when it comes to the game. If i needed a skipper, I would go straight for Joe Maddon in TB.

Thats a great movie Dan! I got my girlfriend to watch it about a month ago and she loved it. Usually she falls asleep during movies I pick out, but she stayed awake for Moneyball

Surprisingly no lol. She was actually into the story. She would freak out because she wanted to know how good the team actually did and I told her that she had to watch the whole movie to find out. Plus she find's Pitt to be too old so I'm good there :lol:

Would have liked to have seen them give the big three more than a few seconds of credit in the movie. That was the biggest thing I talked about with Steve (he saw the movie waaaay before I did).

No one wanted to face those three in a short series at that point. I would've thought that that would be quite noteworthy.

At this point I'm hoping he DOES still have it and hasn't shipped, rather than it being lost. Its a card that i really want and that would ease my mind.

Phil just pulled one from his case but he sold it already. I'd like to get one but not sure on the stamping as it wouldn't fit with the rest of my collection.
