It could do ok, there was a game in 2006 between Ohio State and Wisconsin that drew over 40,000 fans at Lambeau Field. Obviously attendance was boosted by being in one of the teams home states. Not sure how good of a town Chicago will be for NCAA hockey, could just end up being crappy attendance like some of the NCAA tournament regional games.

The home team advantage is what drives these games. I just don't see a ton of Chicago residents coming out to watch.

I would have stuck this in Target Field or Michigan Stadium for the inaugural matchup to give it a good image.

The free-skate idea is pretty cool though.

Ouch. MSU took a hard loss tonight.

Matt Read had a hat trick, and to celebrate, I won this. It's not Read, but he's a BSU alum.

Nice card!

I'm not too upset about the Mavs loss on Saturday, we won Friday night which was 2 more conference points than I expected us to get in this series! I've got to say though, after watching those 2 games, the refs in the WCHA are just freaking terrible. They made horrible calls both ways. There was one point where the Gophers had control of the puck and probably could have scored, and the refs blew the whistle for a Mavericks penalty! Good for us I guess, but there were just too many issues like that throughout both games.

Just booked our (gf and I) flights to Minneapolis in March for the Final Five!

Nice! Share some pics!

I don't think I'll be able to go this year. That sucks since it's not going to be as good ever again.

So, I have a question...

I am trying to figure out how to go about getting season tickets for next year.

A student package is $50. I believe, for this season, a regular package was $250.

Do you guys think that the regular package will drop in price since UofM, Wisc, and UND are leaving the WCHA?

No idea, I get into the Yale and Quinnippiac games for free, so I have no idea about ticket prices at all.

They don't charge out there?

Here it's crazy expensive, especially when Mariucci Arena is involved.

I wanted to go see Mankato and Wisconsin over break and tickets were like $35 a piece.

Yes, they charge. Yale I think is 10 for GA and 14 for reserved seats. I don't need tickets to get in though so I don't have to pay.

I would be they keep the ticket prices the same and then see what sales are like. If they drop sharply, then they may adjust pricing closer to the start of the season.

Looks like Quinnippiac picked it up there in the end... man they're looking great this year. Wonder if they will end up being #1 in the nation tomorrow? Mavericks moved up from 16th in the Pairwise to 13th without even having any games this weekend, gotta love that!

Pretty happy with this pickup:

The score was a bit deceptive. Yales goaltending was terrible.
