Good evening!!!!! The benefit was a huge success. My Rose auto, which came from the $30 blasters sold for $22, my Richard Petty TTM Auto went for $15, and my DGA set sold for $22. I'm actually surprised by these numbers, I didn't expect them to be that high. I don't know the exact total, but we had at least $3,000 just from the silent auction. I wish I knew an exact amount just because I know it went so well. I'm honestly on cloud 9 because of it. It was a long day, but well worth it. I didn't win anything at the auction. I was bidding on some dishes for my mom but being a poor college student I just couldn't go any higher. My mom ended up spending $35 at the auction, winning some dog treats/toys and a canvas picture of a leaf with rain or dew on it. Sorry for the long post, I'm just really excited about today! Now I have to take the final for my 8 week class

Anyone still around? Got our asses handed to us at work today, it was nuts. Now back home with the kids waiting for the Mrs. to get back home from her first day back at work. She had taken a hiatus to be a stay at home Mom, but one person quit and one was arrested/fired so they asked her to come back part time. We'd both like her to be able to stay home with the kids, but she likes the break and her job and I don't mind the extra $$$

Hey Rich, she works at an assisted living home for people with mental diseases or defects. I.E. schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, etc.

Well just a quick update about the benefit. I was told by my mom that there was at least $5,000 donated today, and more than likely somewhere around $1,500 more that wasn't counted

You know, I work second shift. that is 3-11pm and the wife says we miss ytou all the time. Well when I'm home she says I need to leave her be so she can watch something on Netflix or Hulu plus........I'm like really WTF

:lol: As we got money, we would give some to his parents who would go and deposit it. We didn't count the checks, but there was well over $1,000 in just checks and I don't even know if that $5,000 included anything from the silent auction, and that went well. Heck, my $10 Pete Rose auto sold for $22.01 to a lady who doesn't even collect cards, but I may have shilled her a few times before she realized it was me bidding against her :lol: She lives in the same apartment building as us and always talks to us. The only reason she found out that I was bidding her up was because I had my grandma go bid on it using my number, but then my sister walked over and started talking to my grandma; thus, giving away my secret plan
