Braun did NOT get off by a mistake by a collector.

The collector followed EVERY rule as laid out by MLB and the PA.

WADA who tests the samples says NO tampering took place.

The MLB arbitrator let him skate, who was then fired by MLB about 4 months later.

I was waiting to see the Braun support angle.

Interesting.

If my last post came across as a Braun is Jebus post, I'm sorry.

He's a XXXXing cheater. Who already got caught once. Who will finally serve his rightful suspension

Reminds me of The Juice.

They couldn't get him for murder, so they got him for stealing his own property.

And I don't have anything against Braun either. Yeah, he's a Brewer, and I'm a Cardinals fan, but he's never done anything to piss me off. He's a very talented baseball player. And he's a juicer in my opinion. Do I really care? No.

I'm not an advocate for the stuff, but I'm never going to kill an athlete for it. Even if it's someone I don't care for, like Manny Ramirez.

I DO however think that anyone in this day and age who gets caught is a complete and utter moron.

Without positive tests (or maybe criminal convictions), I believe the labor deal with the MLBPA and MLB will be a huge hurdle for suspensions to be handed down.

The hurdle may not be as large as I thought, but still seems significant. From an article by Jayson Stark on ESPN.com (emphasis mine):

"These days, the commissioner's office is empowered by baseball's Joint Drug Agreement to suspend players without a positive test. All it needs is proof that they used a banned PED, or possessed one, or did business with someone like Bosch and then lied about it when confronted."

With the cheaters typically being ahead of the testing, they need to include clauses like this....MLB needs to have some leverage against the next great undetectable PED, and this seems to be it....

Small point of clarification: Sham Dayas (sp?) Did not let him skate; he decided that the protocol that was followed correctly was itself weak and had holes. So he didn't just ignore everything and let Braun "skate"; he sided against the protocol, not for Ryan Braun (if that makes sense).

Everything else you said is correct.

I hope they all burn. I also hope that after this current CBA that teams will be able to put language in contracts sayings they can void a contract if certain PED tests are failed or the like. I know that the owners had all of the power in baseball for a very long time, but that shouldn't mean that the players and the MLBPA can now run roughshod over the sport of baseball and protect the cheaters while doing it.

I said support.

My comments were directed towards Braun fanboys.

MLB is in a no win situation. It looks bad when you bust a lot of guys, and it looks bad to turn the other way at this point. Somehow the NFL has stayed out of it all by just stating a guy is suspended for "substance abuse", which people don't seem to look into any further.

Interesting article...

Y! SPORTS

This is the point I've been making (as was said in this article) :

"Think about the union's perspective: For all this time, MLB has painted Tony Bosch as a low-life, a pissant faux doctor who was nothing more than a sleazeball. And now it wants to trust him, of all people, and mete out perhaps 1,000 games of punishment?"
