Someone just bought a 1997 Dante Bichette Instant Winner for $8. The power of the 90s thread....

Shipping was $10 though.

Who else has these in their collection, and have you ever seen more than one of any player? Thanks.

I got mine a few weeks back. Only one I've seen. To be fair though, I didn't know how hard these were to find until I started coming to this site. Who knows how many I missed out on.

Me too. There will always be cool stuff to collect. If the price is right, move on.

I am probably heading down this path too guys. The Crusade collecting is loads of fun, but there is a time to move on. I have other adventures Id like to do and a grand or 2 from cards would sure help in the next chapter.

Vladdy pickup... think I'll keep it sealed. For those that have these tins, anyone keep it sealed?

This is just the single pack right? I have three gold Belle's and two are sealed and the third is not sealed but I got it already open. I also have 3 or 4 Blue ones and I think 3 of them are sealed. For me, no real need to open because I'm not sure there is anything extremely over the top rare that I could hit but of course I'm probably wrong here! ;)

How do you feel about keeping sealed, etc.? I guess if I acquire it sealed, I just keep it sealed... I haven't given it too much thought.

I opened a couple of whole tin boxes back in the day. They showed up discounted at Target. Never pulled anything very good, so I have no problem leaving it sealed. You had a very miniscule chance of hitting Precious Metal cards, and the gold die cuts aren't bad, but I'd leave the gold packs sealed, and probably the blues too.

You guys all need to open those boxes and tins. Find a precious metals and sell them to me so I can complete the set. Lol. In a seriousness though. Better to keep them sealed. Worth 10 times more sealed and the chances are pretty astronomical of anything of real sell value. I opened 9 boxes and a ton of the blasters back in The day and only got one Precious Metals. I just had a sealed Travis Lee Tin. Couldnt resist on the off set chance of a PM and pulled 5 cards that I let my dog chew on. Lol

I've opened about 5 boxes of this stuff as well and have yet to pull a PM. I forgot I actually have a sealed Griffey '97 box as well. Just don't have a pic.

I'm working on the '97 PM set and have been what seems like forever. I think I'm around 15/16 of the 25. At this rate I should be done sometime around July 2023.

LOL 2023 isnt bad... I am at 20 of 30 for the 98. Had I have started two years earlier I would be almost done right now Sans a Ben Grieve. Now I am setting my date at around your timeframe. HAHA. Also, it is costing me a small fortune now.
