I thought about it - something about the way the serial # looks turns me off of this card. And that doesn't really make much sense because I have a complete set of 2004 Donruss Elite Extra Edition w/notations. And 2 short of a complete set of '04 EEE Turn of the Century (still need Trumbo and Homer).

I've got 5/7, 6/7, and 7/7 at home, though I doubt I'll ever track them all down it doesn't stop me from trying! Yeah the seller has a couple others I'd love to add too

Uh no, I'd think Griffey would be a hell of a lot easier to find. Just more costly. No offense, but as a collector of a few no namers myself, who in the hell bothers listing a Jeff Cirillo? So I'd say you're doing pretty dang good to have found what you have.

What's the story with these?
They were a giveaway at the 2004 Cal Ripken Jr. World Series for 11-12 year olds in Aberdeen, MD. Look exactly like the 2004 Donruss Elite / 2004 Donruss Elite Extra Edition cards but have the stamp in the middle. Packs were clear so it was easy to see if you had inserts or not since all the inserts are colored and die cut.

I think they made the entire set of the 2004 Donruss Elite. If you're looking for your player and you can't find one under "his" name, try looking for 2004 Donruss Elite World Series or just Cal Ripken and hundreds of these cards will pop up every now and then. I forgot the sellers name but he'll list a couple hundred cards at one time with different players for about $3 - $4 each plus postage (depending on the player)...
