Stop guys, you're making me defend Topps!

Yes, pele never played baseball but why and how can anyone complain about him in this product?

If you land one and hate it, sell the card and use the money to buy singles of what you like. Very simple concept.

So should we expect to see non-baseball players/people in baseball card releases from now on if they open themselves up to sign items and there is value to be had? I'm sorry but I'm not in that camp... I will also say that I'm also not an active wax purchaser, so my opinion has little weight what so ever.

Just kidding ;) - It's off Topps Facebook... wish they showed pictures of the bat knobs... I think that was a really great move on their part when they did that with last year's product. It also was nice to actually have a visual of the big hits and to avoid any fakes IMO.

So far all the clear rookie reprint autos are redemptions. One of the key selling points of the product and they can't get any of them in the product? My lcs is not going to like me tomorrow but I'm staying far away from this product.

I aint complainin'

Topps Football boasts an SSP of a board member here.

This is hardly a new concept.

Fair enough. Honestly, I don't really care because I spend 99% of my card funds on Belle stuff and considering Topps isn't slowing down his cards in new releases, then I'm not going to be opening new wax much. Also, just to be clear, I wouldn't be pissed if I got a non-baseball player card/auto in a pack... I just think baseball cards should be baseball cards, other than the A&G release, which has it's own kind of structure but you know that going in.

Value is value. Sell your Pele and buy a card for your collection with the proceeds. When you complain about $200 cards in a product, you are being unreasonable.

Really ??

So putting a card like this into Tier One makes it a healthy product

Enough already with these Musial autos.....

I can't wait for their next product to include a dual auto / gu of this lovely couple

Cards fans might love that card. The Man's trying at least!

By the way, what are the Clear Rookie Reprint Autos #'ed out of, 25?

The Musial card is Topps way of squeezing everything they could from Stan Musial. It wouldn't surprise me if Topps had a representative at his death bed with sheets of stickers - they disgust me in the same manor as John Henry did getting his father to sign everything and anything up until his passing.

The clear rookie repprint autos are #'d to 25

Thanks! It is sad to see the way Stan's auto degraded in his final days, but my guess is that Stan was trying to get every penny he could from Topps. JMHO of course...

The entire Stan situation makes me SICK. The look of those auto's is like they taped the pen to his hand and just told him to just move his hand for as long as he can and a Topps rep just moved stickers in and out for hours... sad... we'll probably see his "on card" (puke) autos for years to come...

Stan wasn't after the money. The guy loved signing his name and it's said he never turned down a chance to sign for someone.
Well, lets all give Topps credit for exposing those feelings of his...

Depends on the player/personality/rarity.

Some years back Topps put astronauts autos in co signers at very hard ratios and big names.

The next year they flooded the same product with boxing autos of people no one heard of.

There's the difference.
