Posted this on the general forum but felt appropriate to post here as well- not vintage but still 20 years old ;)

....just recently discovered that there is a 1992 Perez Steele Masterworks set of Ted. This includes 5 designs, 4 of which were reproductions of turn-of-the-century sets-

T-204 Ramly cards from1909, N-162 Goodwin cards from 1888, PC-760 Rose Post Cards from 1908, T-205 Gold Border tobacco cards from 1911, and a Perez-Steele original.

Here are my first two signed pick-ups from this grouping:

Cannot wait to pick-up all 5!! It will be a great hunt!

No way Scott. I do want an entire slabbed set in PSA 5 or better though.

I don't have cards, but I have some pretty cool Ted Williams memorabilia. You want to see?

My only remaining Williams item is this magazine page that was autographed by Ted many years ago. I was given this by a friend who bought it at the Sports Collectors Store in the Chicago area at least two decades ago. This store was a legend in the Chicago area and had many of these players sign items for them before the autograph show circuit really took off. Years ago when Ted Williams' son said in a Sports Collectors Digest interview that 90% of all Williams autographs in the hobby were fake, he offered to authenticate anything that was sent to him. I sent a photocopy of this item to him and he sent a nice letter back on Ted Williams Company letterhead saying that he felt the autograph was authentic. I will have to scan the letter to go along with this piece.

My goodness there are some INCREDIBLE cards in this thread!!! I FINALLY picked up my very first Ted Williams autograph. It was in a good price range since I had a ton of paypal saved up so I thought $375 was a good deal:

Hey I can play too. Bought this in 2002 and had it slabbed by PSA. Centering looks way too good to be a 6. Nothing too wrong with it overall either.
