That's why I wanted a price before I offered so I knew where you were. $100 is actually more than I have paid for any of the last 5 autos I have purchased. Some were listed at $150 and seller accepted price of $75. To be number doesn't matter. It's all the auto. I just got a /90 and paid more for it that /25. I do like the patch. If wasn't sticker I would have offered $125.

Yet I'm the guy with the bad attitude...can't imagine why...

I offered $110 so I have a bad attitude? What are you 12? Here is your reply to my pm.

So you're willing to offer LESS than a Kyle Seager version of this card sold for? Yeah, I'm probably going to say no...

The Henderson card is very nice and possibly better suited to a Hof collector, patch collector or a collector that takes numbering into consideration as you will get more for it. Regardless that Rickey has a ton of autos this particular card is and should be valued more than the Seager. The Don mattingly with Waist pants stitching and auto (Same set) sold for 377.00 and Donny has a lot of autos out as well. To get the most out of it I would list it via ebay auction starting at .99 cents and let it ride. I can see it end in the 200 range or more as the product is still hot. I then can see it settle in the 150 range. True that his auto on this card is a sticker but atleast they went with clear sticker rather than the silver ones they used last year. With that said on card is obviously better but Clear is still better than silver in my opinion. Good luck to the poster of the card.

THIS.

Funny how rational thinking can be applied to this when you're not the one trying to buy the card...

Out of curiosity, what do you really expect it to sell for? You listed it with a BIN $499? Henderson 1/1 cards don't sell for that much. I would love to see it in auction form. Could it get to $200? With Ebay anything is possible.

I don't see it going over $150. If it does good for you. Personally I wouldn't go over $125 and that's high for me but I like the patch. My ceiling is more like $100. Good luck. Since sarcasm can't be read, there is none in this post.

Brian that's why I offered $110. I figured he would come back at $130 or even $150. I am not really sure why I even made an offer since I kind of decided not buy 2014 Topps stuff. I did bid on a few Museum cards that actually had new photos though.

I did pick up a 2013 Heritage black plate 1/1. It was a BIN for $100. The guy left a few bucks on the table with that one.

I bid on a few items for the first time in months. Immediately got outbid. That was fun! Haha.

I bought my rickey on card for 70 shipped. To me that's a 60-75 dollar patch so $125-$150 isnt out of the question. numbering a card to /5 or /10 doesn't matter in terms of scarcity to most collectors on new issue cards. With so many parallels it's a falsified scarcity. Again, sticker hurts it.

Rational thinking aside, if anyone is actually watching Henderson cards, The first 2 on ebay sell for a very high price. After that the bottom sort of drops out and the cards settle into where they should be. Since his is the first one out there of Henderson, I am sure he will get a respectable price. Probably in the $175 or so range. You can't compare this to some prospect or very early career players at all. People are still "prospecting" and expect a huge return on investment. Comparing it to Mattingly is also ridiculous, since he is an NY player, and has his own set of collectors. (Yes, I know Rickey played in NY, but it is an A's card) The market is too volatile, and a bidding war can WAY over-inflate a price before anyone realizes it. I wouldn't expect the next Mattingly to sell anywhere near $377. But hey, the idea for a starting bid or $.99 and letting it ride could start a bidding war... That would be interesting. I wish the seller good luck, and now that it is at $249, it is a lot closer to reality and he may get it.

Oakland A's Throwback Thursday July 3rd Rickey Button giveaway. Scorecard too. He has been pictured on that the last few years also.
