Thoughts on value of autographed cards of players who didn't sign much, but now sign frequently

I ended up picking up a Mike Marshall 8x10 from Main Line, after they'd bought out a bunch of Potter's stock, a couple years ago for $150. Figured I wouldn't see anything lower than that anytime soon. I'm not sure why I'm intrigued by tough signers, but I am. I guess I want to understand the...

    Team-signed TTM?

In addition to most major sports, there was a period from about 2000-2011 where I collected women's basketball autographs as well. I recently turned 30, and decided that that was a good cut-off point to stop asking 18-year-old college girls for IP sigs (though I must admit, I got Breanna...

    Does Rocket Ismail do TTM?

How is Q about signing? I'm a life-long SU fan but didn't start graphing til the Mcnabb/Konrad/Darius/KJ years.

If you could pick 1 athlete to punch in the face who would it be ???????

Anyone in my 13 years of 'graphing (I started in 1999 in high school) who has purposely gone above and beyond a simple "no" in refusing an autograph, or in preventing the acquiring of autographs: Michael Coleman (never-was loser Boston/Cincy outfielder) Lance Broadway (worthless former White...

    Pasqual Perez murdered

D'oh! Needed him in my 1985 Fleer signed set. Oh well, it's not as if I'm not already missing Donnie Moore, Todd Cruz, Aurelio Lopez, Kirby Puckett, Darrell Porter, Bo Diaz, and a few others who have passed (as well as Ivan Calderon and Tommy Dunbar in the Update set). RIP, Mr. Perez.

What's the single greatest moment in sports history for you?

    1. April 7, 2003 - Syracuse winning the NCAA title over Kansas, 81-78. No moment in sports will ever top that for me. 2. The Blue Jays winning back-to-back World Series in 1992 and 1993. 3. The Yankees losing the 2001 WS and 2004 ALCS...always enjoy seeing the Bombers go down, but those two...

What's the Most Painful Moment in Sport's History for You?

    1. March 30, 1987. Keith effing Smart. I was only 4 and a half, but it still was awful. Luckily 2003 eventually happened. 2. May 12, 2000. Seeing Adam Petty's fatal practice crash at New Hampshire. There were MAYBE 100 people in the grandstand at the time. I almost didn't want to come back...

Did you recently join? Use this thread to say hi!

Good morning from Syracuse, NY! I just joined FCB after many months of reading many interesting posts over the past year or so. I've been collecting cards since age 3 in 1985, and got really bitten by the autograph bug around 1999. I'm a big fan of Syracuse Orange hoops and football, as well...
