Plates seem to be going up. I used to get Zimmerman plates for around $20-25 each. Last couple I've seen have been closer to $50. -

Unfortunately, unless he's somehow damaging the ones that he isn't buying, I wouldn't think it's illegal. There's nothing that says you have to buy the top pack in a box. Some people have superstitions where they always buy the 5th pack from the bottom, or the last one on one side of a box. As... -

Wow ... 2005 TC Kemp Red Xfractor
My favorite recent set. Both my guys have cards in it. The 2 Zimmerman's I've seen sold on ebay were for $80 (BO by me) and around 120 months later at auction. Someone on here bought a full or partial set a few months back and was piecing it out. Not sure what he got for the Zimmerman that... -

SP By the Letter Auto Player Collectors...
Some of those prices aren't that terrible, depending on the player. When I was trying for the Zimmerman set, they were getting up to $75 per letter. And to get the whole name at one time saves a TON of searching and waiting. -
