Damn, not too far from Morrisville here...I'm sure he's hit all the Target's/Walmart's in the area, those around the Raleigh area, don't bother with retail...
Probably the same reason why I can't find any of the new Skylander's for my kids at the local stores either!

LOSER!

If you think 100% or even 50% of hobby packs aren't searched you are being a bit naive. The solution is with
the card companies, and they have proved that they don't care about it. I honestly think that the card companies
make it so that they have to only sell 4 or 5 packs out of a box to cover costs in retail. The rest is icing on the cake.

Kevin

100% of the packs in my store aren't searched.

unless you keep your packs behind the counter and pull them for your customers when they are buying some, you can't
say 100% for sure. If the temptation is there people will bite. We can put a man on the moon but topps can't figure
out how to make the decoy cards bend the same as the GU cards? and whats up with retail packs that we can see
through? That has to be done on purpose right?

Kevin
I haven't been to a hobby shop in the last 10 years where the packs AREN'T behind the counter.

Not sure if this would work but what if we all found his user ID and we all bought one or 2 of his hot packs. Then we all file item not as described and claimed there was no auto or game used???
How can he really prove they are in there without opening them??? With tons of people saying they didn't get it eBay will have to side with the buyers especially if there are multiple people saying it wasn't a hot pack. I know it's not very honest but screw this guy. And we can all donate the cards to a good cause.

Who's in ????? We got his eBay ID

So how does one pack search? If PM is best, that's fine. I haven't purchased a pack of cards in at least 10 years. I am not interested in buying any or pack searching. I think it is wrong and feel there should be some type of safegaurd from the company to stop it. I bought packs in the mid 90's and usually pulled some Griffey or Thomas inserts. Occasionally I would hit a Rickey. Then eBay came along and I could stop taking chances and just buy the cards I wanted. Anyone remmber the Ultra hit packs? I think I hit one of those. Had all inserts and gold medallion cards?

***So I watch a video on YouTube. Dude was flexing the packs. Guess this is why some cards come from the pack with creases around the jersey/bat?

That is why i do not buy RETAIL, when I see these losers in Target , Walmart, Kmart I want to just give them the forearm shimmy. I mean there are guys who sit indian style on the floor for hours.

My LCS sells sealed boxes only, that is the only way to go.

Someone could post the ebay i.d. in the youtube video comments

I thought about that but I figured he would just remove it.

What we need is someone talented enough to splice together his pack searching videos with his ebay auctions. Show the Avengers break and after each relic is pulled cut to a shot of his ebay listing for that card. Do the same with the Bieber hot packs and the Heritage pack he ripped with the Adrian Gonzalez auto and cut to his ebay auction.

Seeing his youtube video makes me sick... I know this is unethical but is this illegal?

Unfortunately, unless he's somehow damaging the ones that he isn't buying, I wouldn't think it's illegal.

There's nothing that says you have to buy the top pack in a box. Some people have superstitions where they always buy the 5th pack from the bottom, or the last one on one side of a box. As long as you don't damage anything, I don't see a problem with these habits.

If he's bending the packs, or pushing cards around with his fingernails, that can damage the cards. Other than that, if he knows something nobody else does about upc codes or something, I don't think it's technically illegal.
