Newest Hall of Fame Candidates Announced- Golden Era Candidates- No one elected!
Jim Kaat's stats make him very deserving of being in the Hall of Fame. Played 25 seasons, 16 time Gold Glove winner and one of the top hitting pitchers of his era to go with three 20 game winning seasons and a total of 283 career wins. What more do you need? -

The best part for me in watching last nights game was seeing all the Fox analyst's (experts?) having to eat crow with their pre-game predictions. Everyone of them had the Royals winning game 7, even Frank Thomas who before the series said the Giants would win. Then in the post game interviews... -

I only referenced book value cause at the time I had no way of checking Ebay for past sales. Only reference I could get my hands on was the Beckett book. I just knew from memory that these weren't that easy to find back in the day and I was right. I had to go back and see if there was anything... -

Sometimes it pays to go to mall shows and look around to see what's out there, you never know when you'll see something that's hard to find or mis-priced. I came across this nice one last weekend and vaguely remembered that these weren't easy to come by back in 2000. I wasn't sure of the book... -
