cutting a card to make a card!

Sean, Not sure why you are so sour, but rest assured we are working hard to do the right thing in the hobby. If you are in any business (or this one by chance), surely you would protect your business if threatened? Or, does this make me crappy for wanting to make a fair living and protecting my...

cutting a card to make a card!

pigskin, Actually, if the autos were signed during my agreement, then Topps would be guilty of Tortious interference. This occurs when a person intentionally damages the plaintiff's contractual or other business relationships. This tort is broadly divided into two categories, one specific to...

cutting a card to make a card!

WE DO NOT cut up cards effective June 2009. We did less than 25 cards total ever, but agree that it is not acceptable to community as a whole. I don't care if people cut up cards, as long as they own them free and clear and did commit a crime or subject themself to civil action in the process. BG

cutting a card to make a card!

Rumor is that Topps is doing #2 above in the Pro Debut product (not Lebron though). so, still think it's inexcusable? BG p.s.- Im not sure Barack Obama, Elvis, Abner Doubleday or George Washington's family would prefer they have cut signatures, therefore should companies not do it? If...

Joint promotions between FCB and Topps

No way!!!!!! :D Just kidding. Im not scared to interact with collectors, nor should they be. I hope they take the next step in showing appreciation to and concern for their customers. BG

cutting a card to make a card!

Harrison Ford has stated he WOULD NOT sign trading cards anymore. I offered him $400 per signature :o !!!!!! If he refuses, should he NEVER have anothr auto card? Or, what about Neil Armstrong who is alive but wouldnt sign for $2500 per signature!... I think many collectors would rather have...

cutting a card to make a card!

How would you have felt if Topps (rather than putting in the product) cut up AFLAC autographs to make cut signature cards? What if I cut up an unreleased (in autograph form) Razor card to make cut signature cards now? Would this be ok? BG

cutting a card to make a card!

What if they cut up their own cards to make new cards, rather than releasing them as originally designed? BG

cutting a card to make a card!

How do you feel about cutting up a trading card to make a trading card? Why does it bother you? Does the manufacturer who does it make a difference? We will be awarding a Razor metal Wieters autograph to a member randomly drawn who replies in a cosntructive way to this thread. Thnaks.. BG

RAZOR ANNOUNCES NEW 2010 POKER PRODUCT....

+1 Topps did the best possible job with the depth of players left after our deals. Competition pushed them. I am glad we woke them up , albeit for just one year. BG

RAZOR ANNOUNCES NEW 2010 POKER PRODUCT....

Trust me. Our model does indeed work under normal circumstances. Bad economy, MiLB landscape changing and borderline illegal actions by MLBPA (no need for elaboration, yet) are hardly normal circumstances. We made money on baseball in 2008! I personally don't believe Topps or UD made money...

RAZOR ANNOUNCES NEW 2010 POKER PRODUCT....

Tony, I am sorry you have come to the conclusion you have. The fact is, Topps did not care enough about your business to compete. They assumed you would carry on buying their products on name alone. We even offered Topps some of our players early on (before we announced them) and TOPPS had no...

RAZOR ANNOUNCES NEW 2010 POKER PRODUCT....

People can sue for anything. On the front of the box, if it says prize not available to anyone under the age of 21 (however it is fully transferrable), we will be covered and I would not worry for even a moment. Topps included CASH in boxes with no legal entanglements (and NO disclaimer). Trust...
