Jonathan Singleton suspended 50 games for marijuana
MLB players can't be suspended for weed, only MILB players (see Jeremy Jeffress). So, if Houston decides to promote him to the MLB out of spring training, I wonder if the suspension would apply. -

I can see why these guys that own "Rize" would need to comply with Brian's terms that they refrain from using Leaf in the title but it is ridiculous to think that I, or anybody else, couldn't use the Leaf name in the title if we bought some of these cards and decided to resell them. I'm not saying that Shields isn't good. I don't agree that the Rays are taking more of a risk. Shields would be gone in 2 years and even though his contract is reasonable compared to the rest of baseball it's still at the upper limits of what the Rays can pay. Taking his money off the books... -

As a Royals fan, I'm about to throw up. And because I really hate Dayton Moore, I really hope Wil Myers becomes the next Mike Trout. I just can't see giving up 6-7 cost controlled years of Myers for 2 years of James Shields. Not to mention giving up Odorizzi -- that's just freakin stupid... -
