Wow, very nice scans. I have been meaning to pick one up with a CCD element, the all in one I have now can't cope with slabs or one-touches very well. Those look great though.
THANK YOU! So I got the Bill and the short last name right lol... again thank you this was driving me crazy! BTW does anyone else think the Ripken looks pretty BA?
Ah, I see now Jeff. So who's the artist? lol now you guys are just playin' with me.
Hmm... seems like no one does remember... shorts like those can do that to a man's mind though.
Not Brian Kong, I saw his booth. This guy had about a dozen or so paintings up, all pretty big. Then had prints FS on a table in the middle. And I don't know if he had this purple lion... I think I missed the origin of that joke.
I can't for the life of me find this... and yes I have searched Google, etc.
Who was the artist in the back who had some funky looking paintings, they were kind of blueish and were mostly of sports. They had a Gators head, one of the WS winning Cardinals, the Green Monster, and an awesome one...
Thanks, I was pumped to pull an awesome card for the HOF PC. BTW are the Doubront ref and Arenado ref showing up huge for you guys? It is normal in the bucket and yet displays the original size for me...
First some pick-ups for the Red Sox PC... Rizzo is actually from ballerskrip, thanks!
Some more 2010 Bowman slabs...
And finally some pick-ups for my HOF PC...
And I pulled this Schmidt from a box of 09 Ultimate, nice logo patch, 20/20 which is also his jersey number :D
Also picked...
Picked up a ton of stuff yesterday and today... I found a few dealers willing to deal lower than listed and honestly I wasn't expecting a fire sale.
2010 BC Iglesias ref auto BGS 9.5 :D
2010 BC Heathcott auto BGS 9.5
2010 BC Tate blue ref BGS 9.5
2010 BC Doubront ref auto PSA 10
2010 BC...
I didn't see one in the baseball section so I thought I'd start one... today was my first day at the Nationals and I spent most of it looking around, not buying. I did buy two autos from 2010 Chrome, though.
2010 Bowman Chrome Nick Franklin ref auto /500 $20 (was considering it thinking it...
Mays is a great guy to be haunted by.... nice break. How many boxes was this? I can never keep the Donruss Prime Cuts series straight.
EDIT: haha Russ ya beat me to it.
Just going from the scan, all four corners seem soft and it looks like brown is showing through. I don't know what problems are specific to this set but I would doubt a gem. Again, going off the scan so it is admittedly hard to say.
I am just your average collector but I would opt for the second option, IMO it looks cleaner. Plus, easier to ask Frank to just sign below his name. :)
Nice idea, we need pics! I will be at the Nationals as well btw... first one for me.
Don't really want to open a can of worms here but I am not sure why everyone is up in arms about the $75 card possibility. I can't even count how many $220 Sterling breaks return $40-$60, and Sterling lacks a single card worth over $10k, where as this product boasts at least 2 (maybe 3 or 4?)...
2005 Ultimate Signature has all on-card autos (or cuts), and has some VERY nice subsets. I am am currently collecting the HOF'ers from the Supremacy subset. I haven't read the whole thread so I wonder if wideright has posted yet...
Yeah I have been on both sides of this question, though when I ask it is more of a "are there any obvious flaws because you are too lazy to give me a scan" question. I don't expect someone to break down the grading, but if I am buying without a scan I'll ask about centering, because as you said...
Honestly I am not surprised.... I don't want to start a flamewar here but I am a Sox fan and this just sickens me. Sheppard was part of the Yankees' storied history and legacy, and not a single player goes. I understand players have to "get prepared" for a game and all, but how often does...
