Some of these are small, I know. That's just how I hosted them on Picasa. Eventually I'll be slowly building a Google Site to showoff my collection (when I have more time and more cards to show). For now, here are cards from my submission last month as well as a few I only recently got around to...
"Worth"? Probably not, unless you know of a hardcore Braves collector who would want an authenticated ball like this. So, unless you find someone who collects baseballs signed by a semi-random group of people associated with the Braves, it probably isn't worth authenticating.
Debating issues? I guess I just don't see facial hair and celebratory hand gestures as issues. Also, some of the "debate" was stuff mentioned here:
As for indicating likes and dislikes, go for it. But there's no excuse for being annoyed over something that is so avoidable as an off-the-field...
Seems like there are many, many other things to worry about other than professional athletes' personalities.
"He thinks he's all..."
"Look at how fake..."
"I am so annoyed by..."
"Who does he think..."
Your brain, assuming its functioning, should have bigger fish to fry (even on a baseball...
Ha ha. Thanks for the tip.
side note: "Thanks for the tip" was probably the opposite of what gmarutiak heard from his wife before being banished to the couch.
side, side note: I've been married nearly 10 years, so I know where that guy is coming from.
I have submitted about 50 of my IP autographs over the past 3 years or so for PSA/DNA authentication/encapsulation. This was the first time I had something come back as "questionable". my results:
1989 UPPER DECK 787 OMAR VIZQUEL OMAR VIZQUEL Authentic
1982 TOPPS TRADED 98T CAL RIPKEN JR. CAL...
After getting IP autographs for about 6 years now, I've decided the thicker Staedler lumocolor is the one I like best (blue, of course):
The cheapest I've been able to find so far is a place in AZ during Spring Training that has them for $4 each. My friend just found this site that has them...
I usually prefer to just get RCs signed, but I wanted to finish this little side project. Strasburg signed my racing bib from his 5K and I wanted Gwynn's autograph on it, too. Next time he signs, it's back to RCs for me:
Simple frame job: stopped by Micheal's on the way home and got a cheap...
And it was the only run on the Padres side. Oh well, at least my daughter and I got to see something positive. We grabbed 5 ticket stubs on our way out of the stadium, but they are all pretty beat up (folded/creased). Maybe we'll list them on eBay and use the money to pay for our kettle corn...
Thanks for the comments, folks. There is definitely some decisions to be made. I'm not really looking into flipping--probably just that 2nd Chipper Jones RC.
I also like the red flips a lot better. When buying, that's what I look for first. The 89 UD Griffey I bought had to be a red flip. The...
Hey everyone,
I am collecting on a pretty strict budget of $40 per month. Anything I spend over that needs to come fro other areas of my collection. I collect in person autographed rookie cards, especially authenticated autographed rookie cards. I have sent 2 submissions to PSA/DNA before when...
Re: Contest with POLL $25 Paypal to winner! HUGE Card purchase
No, even a significant increase in price wouldn't mean much for each shareholder. Double your money? It looks nice going from $100 to $200, but from $10 to $20? Too much of a hassle in my opinion.
+1
Although the typical response from questioning a culture of hostility toward: homosexuals, institutional racism/sexism, anti-war groups, and people who are still learning to speak English (or any other traditionally marginalized group) seems to be, "If you don't like it you can get out!" Or...
A Matt Williams fan? I've been a fan of his since my first MLB game back in '93:
He hit 2 HRs that game and I still have that ticket stub.
A friend of mine got this for me, but unfortunately it was stolen along with my more valuable PSA/DNA Auto RCs last year:
But, I have been able to...
Ha ha! I don't mind the personalization, though. He signed this for me last week:
I thought it was pretty cool, although I was more pleased to add Jay Bruce to my collection:
