Justin Upton hit a bomb a few minutes ago that hasn't landed yet.

Upton looks like he is ready to take the next step to being a superstar. I love his approach at the plate right now.

BTW I think his 2006 sterling auto at $30 is the best buy on the market.

8-) 8-) 8-)

First SB of his CAREER, lol.

Puts him on pace for what, about 37 for his career

He's actually not that slow, just not a guy they're gonna have trying to steal a bunch of bases I don't think. My favorite thing about his game is that he sprints to first base no matter how/where he hits the ball. Not many players do that anymore.[/quote:39tao6hx]

New thread w/ poll?

"Who is the better second year player...Starlin or LoMo?"

or better:

"Who is more hyped on FCB...Starlin or LoMo?"

Although I don't think the second poll would be all that fair with all the Castro and Cub fans around here.

Poor Montero...

Foul tip from the bat, completely missed the glove--but didn't miss the cup.

Stayed in the game.

That was awful. Hit him square in the junk. No glance to that blow at all. Solid and he looked absolutely miserable.

BABABABOOOYAH BUSTER POSEY! Tied the game with a laser home run.

Yeah, gotta love the players that hustle....you never know what's gonna happen (bad throw, etc...)

LOL I think Logan is only hyped by us two. ;)

Castro will have the higher BA but Morrison will have the higher OBP/XBH.

Exactly, but too many players these days have too big of egos to hustle to first when they hit a groundball to the shortstop. I bet Morrison will get an extra 10 hits over the course of his career just from sprinting to first every time.

Does Anyone have a closer to give us?????? Ryan Franklin turned a 8-2 road trip into 6-4....WOW.... not sure if we have any other options but he is about as bad as it gets. Granted he would not be a closer on any other team..but really???
Sanchez is the guy I think that will eventually get the role...

Brad Ziegler might be available...He had some success closing out games a few seasons ago. Maybe even Francisco Cordero if the Reds are gonna use Chapman to close out games(I dont know they would trade within the division though).

Another 3 hit game for Starlin....I saw some emotion from him on the bad call at 2B and also when he got a fielders choice. It was great to see out of a 21 year old. :ugeek:

All eyes on the Starlin :ugeek:
Most hyped player on FCB, hands down. Are his cards reflecting the love?

The answer to most hyped player is still Jesus Montero. Even though it has calmed down the last two weeks, there has been more Solely Dedicated Jesus Montero threads on these boards over the last year than any other player. Starlin might being getting "hyped", but the dude is 21 and batting .400 in the bigs. I realize it is "hype", but the kid is actually doing it, not projecting to do it.
