Just my two cents, hobby stardom is based on the power numbers a player puts up and/or the team, location, or market the player is in. A good comparison is Michael Young and Jeter. Young put up as good, or better numbers, than Jeter in fielding percentage, hits, and avg. since 2003 or so...
For the Rangers the first two are a lock for me.
Michael Young
Ian Kinsler
The third I'm torn between Hamilton and Chris Davis at first. Hamilton is a proven power hitter, or at least he was last year, Davis is a young power hitting first baseman with good range and no end to potential.
The...
Thought I have never spoke with him, I will definitely keep him in my thoughts and prayers. Based on the collection of members that have posted here, I can tell he is sorely missed and I wish him a quick recovery.
We switched places.....I'm from Lampasas, about 60 miles away from Round Rock and wound up here. I used to work for a place called Cypress Semi-Conductor in Round Rock. I'd love to get back to that area but I can't get my wife away from this place.
PM sent.
The savings accounts do suck, I work for the bank and I don't have one with them. There are some accounts that do draw better interest rates if you have a wad of cash in the bank. Market Rate and High Yield savings draw better interest but they also have high minimum balance...
I work for a bank. With the bank I work for, certain types of checking accounts get free money orders and travelers cheques. Check with your bank if you have a checking acct. and see if they charge you for MO's based on the type of acct. you have with them.
I guess one of the truly sad aspects to a lot of these guys is the fact that they make hundreds of thousands of dollars and in some cases millions of dollars, but they don't have enough sense of pride or respect for their fans to take the time to sign a legible autograph.
Those are great!!!! I can't get to my cards right now without waking up my wife. But I have two autos of Ramon Nivar.
I ripped a pic off of EBAY of one of the cards exactly like the one I have....
I just saw a thread and thought it would be cool to see the "best" worst autographs out there. Post a pic of the guys that, if you didn't know any better, you would think that they were signing their name in some alien language.
Not to mention that Vegas is about two times hotter than the surface of the sun. Teams piss and moan about coming to Arlington to play the Rangers, I bet it would be a treat hearing them complain about Vegas. Other than the heat I wouldn't mind seeing a Vegas team though.

I didn't see any closed auctions on it so I'm not sure what the sell value is.
Thanks for the welcome's guys, it's really good to be here.
Cody, it's good to see a familiar face here!!! I noticed that you had another big mail day today!!!
I guess I should have expanded a little bit. I'm working on a "super collection" of Washington Senators from 1961 to 1971 and after their move to Texas, the Rangers from 1972 to present. I am interested in minor league prospects as well as base, inserts, autos, and gu of current and past...
It's guys like him that make me very weary of getting involved in group breaks. I'll trade and buy cards I want all day long, but I have a problem with sending someone cash to bust a box or case of cards in the hopes of getting something I want. I would rather buy a box and bust it myself...
I was wondering if it would be possible to get a Rangers/Senators banner featuring Frank Howard with the Senators and Michael Young with the Rangers. I'll hunt down the pictures if someone steps up willing to help a new guy out.
Thanks,
KHarmon
I was just referred to this site by a buddy of mine at another forum. My name is Kris and I have been collecting on and off since 1993. I am a HUGE Texas Rangers fan and I'm working on building a "super" collection of Rangers.
I am a father of three kids, a son, who will be nine in May, and...
