Has anyone been to this show before? The Beckett listing says there are 100 tables. Is there usually a good mix of modern and vintage? What about unopened boxes?
I'm a couple hours away, but was thinking it might be worth a road trip this weekend.
Thanks for your help!!
I have not seen this before. Anyone know where it's from? Did Topps issue this? It looks like there are unopened packs from the 50's, but I seriously question the authenticity of them. Thanks for your help!
Awesome. I've wanted to protect my cards by slabbing them myself ever since I first saw graded card slabs. I am a mechanical engineer with experience in designing platic parts and sealing plastics. I've long thought about figuring out a way for people to do this at home. I figured this would...
I posted this question on another thread earlier today but saw you were looking to protect a special card and thought I would ask ... Are you looking to get a grade and authentication on the card or are you looking only for superior protection of the card? If there were a way to 'slab' cards at...
Have you guys ever wanted to do PSA / BGS style slabbing of your own cards at home simply for protection purposes, not for the purpose of authenticating or grading?
I just wrapped up my first Fantasy Basketball post. If you're into that kind of thing or even if you just like Krispy Kremes feel free to have a look.

Thank you guys! I appreciate the encouragement. I'm working on some stuff for the upcoming Fantasy Basketball season right now. Doing a little analysis to share with those who are interested in playing.
Nice work. What applications do you use for creating the artwork on your customs? Also, what type of printer are you using? As the world becomes more 'open source' and the corporations start to re-create the monopolies of old, I think customs will be the next big thing in collecting, much...
Hey everybody ... It's been a while since I been around on FCB. I took a bit of a break from collecting but am starting to get back into it. It's good to see all is going well in the community.
As part of my renewed interest in basketball cards, I have created a new basketball blog. It is...
Back in 98 the owner of a very small card shop near my house pulled one of these Jordan autographed jersey cards. He didn't know how to best maximize his sale. I told him about eBay and that I was starting to sell cards on there. The owner had me take the card home and scan the card for a...
I'm the sucker who shelled out the money for the Griffey & Jeter 1997 Mirror Gold cards that were listed last night. I knew there were more than 30 printed. In fact, I recall a picture on this website showing about 50 Tony Clark 1997 Mirror Gold cards. But, even though there are more than 30...
Stick with the Ichiro metal card autograph. Then, if you want to do something special for the customers because of the delay, send them a care-package of some kind when the card is redeemed. I think maintaining continuity of the metal cards is important, especially since it seems like this is...
Your post made me think of an interesting idea for a Topps set.
As a celebration of 60 years of Topps cards, create a set containing nothing but reproductions of all the Topps base cards from 1952 - 1980. I didn't follow through with the math, but I think the master set would be somewhere...
I have the complete series 1 set of 2009 Topps Target retro parallels.
Also, I just finished up series 1 of the 2011 Topps Target retro parallel set. I hope to complete all the series this year.
Just got in this sketch card I commissioned from Bob Stevlic. It features Sidney Crosby from one of the Winter Classic games. Just wanted to show it off. Enjoy!
I need the following cards to complete a set of the Target exclusive throwback parallel set ...
71 - Trevor Hoffman
95 - Pedro Alvarez
198 - Buster Posey
243 - Omar Vizquel
256 - Tyler Colvin
282 - Buster Posey ROY
289 - Yuniesky Betancourt
