The problem with your assessment is time. The Rangers only get 2.5 months of Garza(if he stays healthy) and no draft pick compensation if he leaves as a FA. The Cubs waited too long to try to trade him. -

NSCC Future Destinations (2014 - 2019)
Made both of those as well. The Hobby was huge back then. Place was packed. Wasn't Score based in Dallas or Arlington? Maybe that helped the Metroplex get the show. It was friggin hot but great shows. Attendance wasn't a problem. -
