Has anybody requested a signed bookplate TTM? I have been thinking about starting a political signed bookplate collection but I don't know if it is feasible. When I check sportscollectors it looks like Jimmy Carter, Clinton and both Bush have sent back signed bookplates.
Would a regular long SASE work or should I use a manila envelope? Do I need to ask for a plate from a specific book or could I just asked for a signed plate with somebody like Obama who has multiple books?
Anyway, I have always thought it would be neat to have a collection of the books (which I do read ) and have the signed plates in an album rather than sticking them in the books. I would be interested in presidents, senators and anybody else involved in politics like Condelezza Rice, Henry Kissinger, Walter Mondale, etc.
