I feel collectors never valued these highly, they seem to get overlooked and seem undervalued. They are nice items to have since a set will remain hidden in a binder but these can be hung and displayed openly.
The bulk of these are from the late 80s and early 90s Tops sheets with a smattering of oddball sets thrown in. I recall there was a sheet of uncut/unsigned superfractors which someone cut and sold off.
Maybe there are some really cool bankruptcy or back-doored ones stashed away in collections here.
Would love to see what you all have...I am using the term uncut card sheets broadly...
- Obviously the Topps/UD/Fleer/Donruss baseball set uncut sheets
- Oddball set uncut sheets
- Food set sheets
- SGA/Newspaper exclusive sets 6 or 9-cards
- Promo items 8.5x11, given to dealers/hobby shops prior to release
- Box toppers...recent Heritage sets
- Box bottoms...
- Cereal box backs
- Fast food local sets
- Minor league/team sets
- SI Kids and other magazine
- Uncut wax wrappers
- 70s food issues...Hostess, etc.
I started collecting around 1990 and had a 1992 uncut sheet which I feel was so common that everyone had, lol. Looking to find one of some sets which I can connect to, like the 2000 Yankee Legends, 2000 NY Legends, 2003 UD Yankee Signature Series, Topps Heritage or the 2000-2004 Fleer Greats of the Game sets. Those were the sets that got me collecting again. I've also been looking to get certain Yankee local/SGA/newspaper releases. I've been looking into finding some nice Yankee-themed sheets card items to display framed.
I don't have anything to share...yet, but would love to see what you have. Let's see them!
