Wish we could revive that post from the playoffs when someone SWORE that the investment level on Longo was over.
He'd be eating his words. Pretty sure these are even higher than then.

No need to, I remember that, I just can't remember the poster, maybe someone else will! But I distinctly remember reading it since I had a Longo chrome at the time.

I think Longo is good enough to maintain these prices or at least close to them. Look at what Hanley and David Wright get; this guy is just as good. I wonder if prospect prices wil suffer as money moves into cards of established young superstars. Also who do you see being the next $100 chrome? Markakis ? Zimmerman?

I'm hoping it's Kershaw.

Next should definitely be ZImmy Then Markakis. Of course I don't have a single one. Would love a Markakis though. :(

I'm 99% positive Incline Investments was the one arguing that selling Longoria during the playoffs was the wrong time to be selling. Looks like he was right.

Oh Canada......
That's just ridiculous! WOW! But hey it's better to pay $250 for a guy that's a beast and has proven himself.... then to pay $180 for a guy that has not had 1 major league AB (Wieters).

Just seems like everyone has taken a liking to Longo.... almost like a 24/7 love affair.... lol :D.

EDIT: Not saying Wieters won't be a beast to... just saying that I would much rather spend BIG bucks on a proven guy, because there has been much touted prospects like Wieters that have done nothing.... So I guess we shall wait and see.

Card-Tresaury was the one who said to hold Longoria. I think Incline Investments opposed the opinion.

I might be wrong about the second part, but I know for a fact Card-Tresauy was the one who said he's holding his Longo's.

Ye but still, people who sold during the playoffs were still making substantial ROI. It all depends on when you wanted to make some money.

I personally think Longo is better then Hanley and Just as good / possibly better then Wright. I watch Wright every night and see Hanley 20 some odd games a season and I would take Longo just about anyday. As for $100 dollar chromes Kershaw has alredy hit that ( i siold 2 at that level) and I'm pretty sure Zim was really close when 05 draft dropped being the poster boy and all I think they were getting 80+ at release. Other guys who I think/sure hit $100, Mauer, Verlander and Kemp(base at 80 one point),.

J. Upton? Not sure what his Chromes go for today but I would say his intial price would help him climb quickly.

Dang, that's nuts. I don't think you can fault people for selling during the WS last year though. I didn't expect these kind of levels from a Ray's player.

Some of it has to be a carryover from the spotlight he got by being in the WS on top of the obvious hot start.

If Longo' continues his tear through the MLB, and by seasons end is at or approaching 50 +/- HR's, 150+/- RBI's and a .320 - .330 BA, you are going to see his base chrome auto's approach $400 - $500 per raw (quality) copies. Call me crazy now, but bookmark this prediction and eat crow later!

FYI, I mean quality copies. Well centered, no visable flaws and a clean auto.

If he wins MVP and goes, .320 45HR 140RBI 402B raws will be 300 easy. Also for the power numbers hes butting up he only has 29 Ks which could be alot in some eyes but not bad to me.
