You're delusional, sorry. Not that I would do this or even know exactly how (because it's F'ed up) but I'm sure if I really wanted to fake a memo card with dirt or blood on it, I could figure it out no problem.

Looking for Albert Belle cards! PM me!

I would say its possible you would just need the right tools. I just got finished cleaning a hummingbird feeder with a tiny brush... that would be perfect. Or you could use a fine brush that people who paint model airplanes use.

Yea, it wouldn't be hard and seriously might be the next thing people start doing....... especially if these start bringing in a premium, which I'm sure they will

Imagine the price of putting some fake blood+dirt on a Ty Cobb. We're going to have to all put our guard up as I think you're right.

The thing is IMO card companies could have been putting up preventative measures to keep this type of thing and patch fakes from happening. I believe Leaf is scanning their Patch Ewing cards coming out, it's one small step that could help check patch verification. Not that time or costly. It would possibly save collectors 100s of thousands a year on fakes. REAL nice patch and even REAL dirt parts should command premiums.

Hopefully when they get around to sending you those redemptions they do a better job than the one I received from them today, loose in a rigid envelope in only a soft sleeve. I don't like dealing with Topps CS so I'll probably just grin and bear it.
