If I had to spend it all on investment and not pc????

Not sure.. but I'd spend a lot of it on Matt Moore autos. I think at current prices, his ensuing Cy Young in the next year or two will make it worth while.. maybe over any current prospect.

Buy cases of 2012 Topps Chrome football. Wait a week to 10 days and then sell it all.

For $10k I can sell you 117 boxes of 2012 Topps Mini. Super limited production, great auto assortment, rare parallels. Just throwing that out there...

Buy the nicest raw vintage commons I can find.
Send to PSA.
Auction them off 1 by 1 and watch set registry guys fight each other.
Collect money and laugh.

I would buy PSA graded HOF RCs or unopened material (pre-1980). It wouldn't last very long, maybe a couple of days. I've probably got over $10K on my watch list right now.

If it wasn't my money I'd have fun with it.....pick one common or a few commons or back variations from the t206 set and quietly hoard it

I would buy cases of 2011 Bowman Draft and sit on them and spend about a third of the ten grand on high graded vintage.

As someone with 17 cases of 2011 draft in my closet, the problem with it is Bubba and Jose Fernandez are redemptions that expire in around a year or so (can't remember the exact date). I would stay away from anyone modern as an investment - especially if they have a couple of years under their belt. Prices are typically never higher than when a guy first gets a top prospect ranking or right when he gets called up (Trout being an obvious exception). Vintage PSA probably has the best change to continue to increase in value.

Right now is a bad time for speculation in cards.

Having said that, the guy who is right will make an absolute killing. To make money, go against the grain in a calculated manner.

Along these lines, meet Cheslor Cuthbert (in full disclosure, ridiculous stash)..

Better than investing in this economy

you WANT to invest in this economy - I've made 20% in stocks this year alone! It's nice when companies are able to keep up revenue yet have cash on the books that weren't spent on employees and/or saved in taxes by moving HQ offshore.

I'm expeciting a really nice sale in stocks in a few days so I'll be investing in stocks than I will cards.

If I had to do it in cards, I dunno. I buy cards to collect not flip for hopeful profit so it's more likely $10K would go into financial investments than cards.

Honestly, I'd spread it way out on lower end cards but of players doing well and not being noticed or on guys I think might do well. This year alone, with what I picked up in football singles before the season, I could now damn near make five times the total I spent. Might not be a whole lot but to think if I had done it in the several hundred dollar range, it would be a nice return.

High End HOF RC's of baseball players have gone nuts in that last 5 years. Rookie Cards of Gibson and Clemente have almost doubled in PSA 8 price.
