Never been to TCC, don't even know what it stands for.

Looking from the outside in, boards that ban members for calling out scammers seems real shady to me. I'm just going by what is posted here, no idea about any other underlying issues.

On a side note, I'm all about a good fiasco :)

Problem is - it might be a better idea to contact a mod (in a respectful manner) before straight calling someone out.

I just wanted to make it clear, he was not banned for calling out a scammer.

He was banned for:
1: Breaking the rules more than once
2: Being defiant to a moderator

Pretty sure that gets you banned here too.

The guy who won my Sims, never responded to my invoices. He has since won a handful of items since mine, plus 2 since I opened a NPB. That is horse ****.

Like I said, I'm just going by what was posted in this thread.

I see no issue in calling out someone who owes multiple people money and not contacting a mod before doing so.

wheeler is a stand up dude who speaks his mind and I guess I could understand why some wouldn't like that but he has offered me the shirt of his back before so he is the **** in my book.

I get what you are saying. Something like this would likely be perfectly allowed on FCB where rules are very lenient.

On most other sites (even those less strict than Sports Card Forum), it won't work that way.

Good luck and prayers for your MRI Puck.

Why? He didn't have a transaction with a mod. He had a transaction with a member.

Trying to moderate trading is completely and utterly pointless. It isn't like contacting eBay or paypal, who can actually help you in getting your money or card back. All a mod can do is ban someone. That does nothing to alleviate the problem of getting ripped off.

Why? Because the transaction with the member existed (and was a problem) ON ANOTHER FORUM.

He was ripped on SCFreaks, not TCC.

Exactly. I remember countless times on Beckett where someone would get called out and then get banned. What the **** is the point of banning someone who ripped people off? That's basically saying, "Well you stole some **** but don't worry about making it right anymore because you are done here."

So if I rip you off here and then go join TCC, we are just peachy?

Exactly. I remember countless times on Beckett where someone would get called out and then get banned. What the frack is the point of banning someone who ripped people off? That's basically saying, "Well you stole some shat but don't worry about making it right anymore because you are done here."

Then, likewise - what is to gain from calling the member out on another forum (through text in your signature, no less)?

If the guy ripped you off on one site and you can't get the problem resolved there, what difference is calling him out elsewhere gonna do? If he isn't going to live up to the deal without some kind of intervention - he isn't going to live up to the deal.
