I think it's nonsense to say that Kos is the second best WW in the entire world. He isn't THAT good.

Well then who has done better vs GSP than Koscheck?
At this point , sure styles make fights but everyone has faced GSP!

Shields - No standup
Fitch - No standup

So Kos has WAY better striking than those 2 and considering he was able to stuff GSP's TDs he would stuff both of them!
I am assuming you agree GSP has by far the best wrestling at 170.

Alves, well Koscheck already lost to him on 3 weeks notice but again Koscheck did much better vs. GSP than Thiago.

Penn I think on any night coould beat EVERY WW except GSP!

Diaz???? When he is fighting in the UFC we will see. Personally I think Diaz gets taken down over and over by Koscheck so its really whether Koscheck can stay out of subs!

I don't think anyone said he was the number 2 Welterweight in the world. He got that Title Shot because he beat Dailey. The man did go 5 rounds with arguably with one of the best...if not the best pound for pound fighter in the world with a freaking fractured orbital bone.

I believe if Shields comes to fight and is in great shape,he will give GSP hard way to go.I'm not saying he will beat him,but i believe he wins at least 1 round and maybe 2!

Hardy went all 5 with him too, and escaped several brutal sub attempts. But nobody would ever claim that Hardy was even top 5.

Hmmm... Fractured Orbital Bone or Brutal Submission Attempts....oh wait GSP couldn't put Kos in any Brutal Submission Attempts because he couldn't take him down.....even with a busted face. However, he peppered him with jabs and kicked the crap out of his legs.
