I just searched 1954 Bowman. I found the Pafko at an antique mall in centerville indiana. The booth had a lot of auto'd cards. Seems to be legit to me. They wanted 9.7for it. If you want, I would be happy to pick it up. He had a few earlier Bowmans as well. I plan to try and head back over their this next week, or pretty soon thier after. LMK

If the price is 9.75 I'd want it as long its not in bad shape. I will PM you my need list when I get home from work, its posted on net54baseball but ill send it to you here.

Jeff thanks I can always count on your words or encouragement. I'm trying to still increase my percent even with saving money for the baby. I sent out Garagiola the other day. Still have 3 more to send out when I get the cash.

The Pafko was in really good condition for its age.

No need to email me the list. I registed on net54 and found it. I will take the list with me to see if I can hit anything else on your list.

Finally with another update, the 6 slabbed cards were the last I was able to buy from the collection that has helped me add about 80 cards to my set. Joe Garagiola was ttm, might I had the card he sent with mine was VERY NICE reminded me of a late 90's Bowman's Best. I should be sending 2 more cards I have laying around ttm this week and thay will leave me with one more to send out with a fee. I am down to 12 living players that still autograph to obtain, it you are able to help with my list please ask for my need list I'll pm you.

Been a while since I got any new ones in for my set, I got 2 in today putting me 1 card under 70%. I am at 157/225. I am heading to Chantilly tomorrow to pick up some more unsigned ones I need and hoping I can pick up at least 1 signed copy I need.

Billy Cox- died in 1978- paid $115.73
Sal Maglie- died in 1992- paid $28.77

The players who died early and didn't sign much cost a lot. I know, as I paid $600 for my 1961 Duke Maas autograph, to finish my 1961 Yankees autographs.

Ok I know its technically the 12th but I got this Mickey Vernon today at the Chantilly show for $25 which is more then I would normally pay but its another one down. I am now up to 70% and I picked up about 10 more to send out ttm so I should get to 75% this year!!!!

Got these in TTM today they put me up to 60. I would like to thank HoustonTeams4me for giving me a good deal on the lot that had these and a few others. If anyone has any unsigned or signed 54 Bowman's please pm me and maybe we can work something out.

Excellent stuff buddy (VERY cool to see these badboy's signed!)....Okay, it's only been 6-7 months so I think it's fair if I want to cancel our transaction & you just go ahead & send me those auto'd beautie's back! :lol: I'm glad I could help (even if it was just a little bit). Oh & I'm shocked that in all this time I have missed this thread altogether ::facepalm:: I guess I've been so neck deep in minor league player's that if it doesn't have the "P" prospect logo in front of the thread I miss it altogether! :lol:

Hey guys got Sam Mele back yesterday/today I don't know what to call it since its 2:30 am here. Bought the card at Chantilly and back to me in 5 days round trip. Mr Mele dinged the top right corner pretty bad but what are you gonna do? up to 160/225 now.

I got another card in today Joe Presko ttm in 10 days. Warren I do plan to have all the cards slabbed by Psa/Dna eventually but that is gonna cost me a ton so its gonna be a slow process.
