1982 Topps Perma Graphics - A little help?

Found some of these 1982 Perma Graphics 'credit card style' cards today, and I don't have a clue about them. I tried searching and came up with some pretty vague results.

I wasn't around in '82, can some of you old school cats shed some light on these?

Here is the info from Beckett on 1982 Perma Graphics Credit cards:

For the second year Perma-Graphic, in association with Topps produced a high-quality set on plastic honoring the leading players in baseball of 1982. This 24-card set features plastic cards each measuring approximately 2 1/8" by 3 3/8". On the card back there is one line of career statistics along with career highlights. Perma-Graphic also issued the set in a limited (reportedly 900 sets produced) "gold" edition, i.e., with a gold tint to the cards. The gold edition cards are valued at a mulitple of the regular cards. Please see information in our headers for the multiplication value. Again in 1982 Perma-Graphic issued these sets in conjuction and with the approval of Topps Chewing Gum. This set was originally available from the manufacturer for $29.95. Uncut sheets were also available for this set. The SRP on those sheets were $75. The sheets had three copies of each card printed on it.

No problem - They also made parallels of the 1982 Perma Grahics All-Star cards in case you are interested. I believe those were limited to 1,200 sets. Valued at 2x the regular versions.
