I think they were in uncut strips (includes dj, giambi etc).
They have purple borders & have promo on the back.

They sent random promo cards to the members of their Collector’s Club each month or so. I have quite a few of those from ’91 to ’93 in a box somewhere. I still have a copy of their club application and their price guide as well.
If you bought the actual sets, then the cards do not have “promo” on the back (of course).
