Just wanted to know thoughts on this card. I read that Asa ( who graded this card) was precursor to psa

ASA was Alan Hager's company and he was bought out by PSA. He patented most of the things like the slab design, 1-10 scale, and a few other things that PSA is known for. He is well known for overgrading cards which this one obviously was. That tear and paperloss is an instant 1 no matter which of the Big 3 you used now if you resubbed it. I've never known of any issues with him grading fakes so it is very likely authentic though. Last I knew he was still alive and kicking with a coin grading service though he has to be in his 80s by now.Just wanted to know thoughts on this card. There is natural reason to be cautious with something like this. So many questions as to why it would still be in a holder like that today though. Perhaps whomever owns it is not really a fan of grading. As someone who cares little to nothing about the grading world, but accepts that it is here to stay, I would want assurances first that this was in fact real if i were looking to obtain it. That holder/label alone in 2026 just screams "Red flag - beware" to most people, whether or not that is the case.
