Yes, base golds are much rarer than Winner golds.Bumping this cuz I got a big lot of "Gold Winners" from 1992 Topps baseball.
People online are saying the "Winners" Golds are more plentiful than the "base" Golds.
Is that accurate?
I would think it'd be the opposite...
If you bought a complete box, you could have received 360 Winner Gold cards (36 packs X 10) . Winning game card was for a pack of 10 Gold cards.Yes, base golds are much rarer than Winner golds.
Golds were a 1 per box
Not sure on print run, but this topic does bring back memories as a kid, coming home from trips to the store, grabbing the strongest flashlight in the house and going into the windowless bathroom to match the stats! At the time, I thought I was the only one that knew that secret.![]()
This is not totally true. Maybe slightly less than winners but there are at minimum 12,000 factory sets of non-winners plus all the ones inserted into products and factory sets and winning runs game mail-in redemptions.Yes, base golds are much rarer than Winner golds.
Golds were a 1 per box insert.
