I'm all sorts of confused. So Belle has a second series?
I am as well. I have a guy that says he has the chipper call to arms(never seen scans) and another guy that says they don't exist. Beckett does not show call to arms for chipper. I have seen the chipper executive proofs but not the set with no numbering.

Anyone buy any of the Crusades in tonight's big eBay sale of cards from seller mmc3168ijd? I picked up the Greens of Sammy Sosa and Kerry Wood, was 1st underbidder on the Mark Grace.

I got the green Sandy Alomar and the purple Brian Rose. Pretty excited.

Cards #131 and above have never been checklisted by any of the major publications. Again, each player has a produced card (cards #1-130 ), and a backdoored (possibly 1 of 1) prototype high number that would have been the opposite (regular or CTA) of what their produced card was.

I finally broke down and picked up a purple Grieve to join my Giambi and Tejada. Put some other bids in on some purple semi-star/stars but I was trumped.

I missed all the end of auctions tonight, disappointed because I would have liked to pick a few up just to see what the rave is all about. There was a ton that ended though and some for pretty good prices

for some odd reason, a few sites have the wrong number on the Griffey............. he is 131 not 113
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unreleased Cards

It appears that a number of additional Crusade cards were produced by Donruss for future 1998 and '99 baseball card sets, but were never released due to the bankruptcy of Pinnacle Brands. Many of these cards were "base" Crusade cards of players who appeared in the "Call to Arms" subset, and vice versa.

Unlike the cards that were inserted into packs, all cards from the "Call to Arms" subset are sequentially-numbered. None of the cards, however, are serial-numbered.

Green, Purple and Red cards are known to exist for some players.

113 Ken Griffey, Jr. CTA

171 Craig Biggio CTA

177 Greg Maddux CTA

189 Mark McGwire

196 Mo Vaughn CTA

??? Mark Grace CTA

I once had a Prototype Purple ARod (Card #176 ) so add that one to the list if anyone is keeping tabs.

I passed up the Ripken Red CTA prototype a few years ago and have been kicking myself more and more each year.
It didn't bring a crazy price either. Today it would.

^wow, that would have been sweet.

i think i know the guy who has it now. i am under the impression that only 1 red, 1 purple, and 2 green high number cards exist. but obviously not substantial proof.

If anyone is interested in purchasing a Green & Purple Crusade of Brady Anderson, let me know.
