I stopped by my LCS and picked up 2 boxes of Certified Hockey. Being new to hockey, I'm not sure how I did. Although I know Taylor Hall is hot right now.

Here's a picture of the bent corner of the Taylor Hall card. I was pissed because the best card of 2 boxes was the damaged one. I did a box break of 2010 Donruss Elite Extra Edition and every last card in every pack had a bent corner. Panini is starting to look like Topps. Is this something I can send back to Panini for a replacement?

Considering it's the best rc auto you could get, i would try my luck with Panini.
The other rc autos are hum but the Brodeur/Luongo dual and the Green Carlson are very nice.
But what i like the most is seeing guys like you and some other members trying their luck with hockey... in hope this will bring a large stack of new members on FCB. Is it because of Panini's comeback you decided to go for it ?
Congrats !

Congrats !

There were a couple of reasons:

1) I'm in the DC area. Caps are fun to watch again. Throw in the fact that I'm new to the hobby as a whole...it was a no brainer.
2) It was all my LCS had that was interesting. They had some Chrome football and baseball, but they were overpriced. Certified was not too bad.
3) I was actually holding out for UD Series 1...but when I have a chance to rip...I can't stop myself from buying.

Honestly, I was really trying not to buy certified. Although I like the way it looks, I spend WAY too much money on too many different products. I would rather spend all my money on a few products and make sets. Thus, I was holding out for UD Series 1. I think I can almost make a set from these 2 boxes, but I already know I didn't get an Ovechkin base card, so I know I'm missing some cards. I also didn't get the John Carlson base either....soooooooooooooooooo..............................that must mean I have to buy more. :D

This is so much better than doing drugs. :)

I would say you did very good.

the Taylor Hall is a great pull (I would think Panini would replace it for you).

the Brodeur/Luongo dual is also a very good pull as is the Carlson Green Mirror.

congrats on a solid break.
