Didn't buy much back then but did pull a Matt Bush X-Fractor Auto and promptly sold it. Was worried I got out too quickly and left money on the table. Now, not so much

Nostalgia makes me sad.
Definitely the best times of the hobby.
The die-cut Hot Prospest single packs were crazy as were all of the Elite parallels. But what I remember the most was the Bowman Heritage Mahogany. Those things were going for stupid money on eBay. I remember selling commons for $50-$75. Set builders are awesome!

I have 119 Scott Mathieson on ThePit. Thankfully he's still pitching well....in Japan...
2004...oh the memories. That was a great year for prospecting and busting prospect-filled wax.
Greg Golson Gold Ref Auto (Pulled one and sent it to BGS. Received a Pristine 10 and sold it for $500+)
2004 Bowman Sterling was awesome with those Black Refractor Auto box-toppers. Its still one of my favorite card designs; very clean look.
2004 Fleer Hot Prospects Die-Cut autos
2004 Elite Dexter Fowlers autos (Had tons of autos and parallel autos. Made a nice profit on these back then)
