Nice! You need to keep them together.

I'm going to do my best to keep them together.

I didn't realize, but 14 of the cards in this set are numbered to 15 or less...19 are numbered to 50 or less.

Thanks for the comments...it's the first auto set I've completed. They all be slabbed eventually (17 of them went in the group sub)

Well that didn't seem like it took very long! Congrats!

I started the project in early/middle January so it took around 3 months. The patch set will take a bit longer (I still haven't seen a Varitek patch auto).

Congrats! That's probably the best auto set of 2008.

If you started any later it would have taken a lot longer to complete. I just completed a 2001 auto set where each card is serial numbered to 100. I think it took about 4 years to complete. I think your set will go up in value over time because they look really nice and player collectors will want them. I still can't believe the Billy Williams sells for so little. I think I've bought 3-4 of them purely because it's a bat barrel swatch; the auto is just a bonus.

Thanks...I am lucky I started it pretty much when the product was released...my patience will really be tested on the 2001 auto sets I'm working on (Leather Bound and Bat Kings)

boomo: The only players who I think absolutely doesn't belong are Chris Young and Chin-Lung Hu

:o Whoa! Those look SWEET!!! Congrats! I'm jealous that you had the funds to build that set. I'm cheap, so I only have the billy williams and a schmidt incoming via trade. I certainly hope you keep the cards together as well. :)

Awesome!! Glad I could help you when it did not look like there was a chance I'd be able to push for the set. I agree that I see no reason the ink would fade at all, as it is really almost "absorbed" into the bat. Pretty crazy how in all the years of game-used and autographed cards, this is only like the third time that a company has done auto'd GU barrels like that, and yet the prices have remained ridiculously low, even on the vintage guys.

Yep...thanks for the Bench and Musial...I'm hope I can upgrade the Bench eventually.

They really have remained pretty reasonable. I really do hope I'm able to keep the set together (and hopefully both Lee and Young sign). I don't know that anyone else will be able to put this set together given so many of them are numbered /10 and /15 and the product isn't being opened nearly as much either.

Beautiful set, and judging by the Bench these were all signed right on the bat piece with the player holding
the card...even better in my mind!
