If Hoffman would have made it Prince doesn't
If Cueto would have made it, Cordero wouldn't have
IMO

Other than that, pretty right on
(keep in mind one player per team and also the fact that back up at each position)........therefore sandoval no chance (need zimmerman, need pirate, tejada also was in leaders for average for so long)
.325 6 HR 42 RBI 26 Doubles 0 Triples SLG .464
.333 12 HR 46 RBI 23 Doubles 3 Triples SLG. 556

who are you arguing about?
Keep in mind one player per team and also the positions needed

Zimmerman over sandoval....needed a Nat
end of story

YADI! YADI! YADI! YADI!...................and no Cubs starters voted in! But I forsee Sori starting for the injured Beltran being as he was the 4th leading vote getter in the OF for the NL.

No chance in hell Soriano makes the team. He has pretty much sucked all year.

I am surprised that Scott Podsednik did not receive any consideration. He was snubbed out of a chance with the final vote also. This is surprising too because White Sox players have been included in all three final votes I believe.

Same crap every year. People piss and moan about their favourite player/team/whatever being left out and how the AS Game is such an injustice. Two days later, nobody gives a damn.

I'm really happy about Pence making the team. He was borderline at best but I can't complain. Now I have a reason to watch the game! :D

Wakefield is crap. Why? Wins mean nothing. His ERA is about 5. Talk about the most overvalued stat ever.

Shin Soo Choo didnt make it, which shouldnt have happened, he was top 3 in VORP for AL outfielders, but the AL fans made so many mistakes that they had to give the backup slots to the players who should have been starters. Also, they needed a Cleveland player and another catcher, so Martinez got it instead.

It comes down to this: as long as this game "counts," fans shouldnt vote.

However, this EXHIBITION game shouldnt count anyways, so its an EPIC fail all around.

I was hoping Hoffman would have made it b/c this is, in all reality, his last chance at an All Star Game. He deserved to go, but I can't really argue with Franklin and Coco; still sucks for Trevor though.

Wakefield should have been bumped

Other than it being a sentimental pick - Wakefield is actually a good choice for a manager. I'd be surprised if he gets in the game, because he's the perfect picture to stash away in case things get crazy like last year. He's probably the only guy where his manager won't care too much if he has to pitch multiple innings no matter how many days rest he is on. I know he is older and is not as durable as he has been, but he is still more durable than the other pitchers - so i actually think it was a great pick, espesially since they were given the extra pick to create more depth in such a scenario.

The NL taking 4 1Bs will cost them in a DH-less game. The AL backups are so much better it isn't even funny. The streak will continue.

agree

wonder if Hoffman will be one of the vote in guys
TBS went off the air once 1PM hit for Cubs game and didn't get to see who fan vote in players were

NL doesn't need another 1B so hopefully D lee not a choice

AL choice = Miggy?
wonder if they put Arod as a choice
